Thanks for the info Chris.  I made a poll about whether you not you'll buy Dragon Age UE.  Also, can you confirm how many discs there will be in the game.

Much appreciated but I hope I'm not being too unreasonable when I say that as someone that already purchased all the retail DLC I expect to get something I previously missed out on in order to buy this Ultimate Edition....mainly I want all the preorder and other bonus items on the game disc. Get those in and you can ensure that I and other people that already purchased everything will purchase this as well.

You'll need XBL to get shepard's version for ME2....that's a download unlike the blood dragon armor for your warden which will be on the game disc.

One quick question about this, does it come all on the same disc like TFU Ultimate Sith Edition?

Thank you Darth Trethon, I'm adding you as a friend.  I haven't been able to find out about that, I read somewhere that there will be codes for DLC with it but I guess that could not be true.  Source of that was Dragon Age wiki.

Uhhh.....TFU: USE DIDN'T come all on the same disc....it had two discs....one with the main game and a second with DLC.

I know that but I should of rephrased that as if the DLC will be on the disc on not downloadable.  I don't have access to Xbox Live to download it so please confirm it will be on the disc or different discs but still play it.

Yes, that has already been confirmed....the content will be on a disc....we don't know how many discs it will have.

Where does it say the DLC content will be on a disc?

What about the bugs that mess up the transfer data that I hear so much about between main game and Awakening, and the similar issue with Witch Hunt?

Victor Wachter said this: "The DLC will be on the disc. I know that Feast Day gifts/pranks are a part of the Ultimate Edition, and will find out whether the Blood Dragon armor and any other items are included."

Bioware if you are going to release blood dragon armor on the Ultimate edition PLEASE release it on the psn independantly for us console players as well, I bought the Collecter's Edition when it came out last year BUT the Blood Dragon Armor NEVER EVER worked for me. I have already bought all the other DLC and much enjoyed it but I will not pay $60 MORE dollars for one thing i missed out on. It was the one dlc i wanted the most and i gave up all hope of ever getting it and now you drive me even more insane with an unattainable release (for me). I would however pay $2-$4 for a download on the PSN. I think that I am not the only one who has already purchased most of the DLC, and while I think that the UE is a great idea for late comers, those who missed the April deadline for inputing the BDA codes or missed out because of confusing download instuctions would greatly appreciate an independant Blood Dragon Armor DLC

The Blood Dragon armor is the incentive that is meant to make ME2 gamers want DAO and vice vesa....I would rate it well beyond extremely unlikely if not impossible to ever see it as an independent DLC sold separately.

Thanks for the source man. That's good news. I've got a 60GB HD and it's running out of space.

PC is definitely better assuming you've got the hardware.

360 more convenient but definitely not as smooth or graphically detailed. No camera zoom in/out control and the spell targeting system is a little funky. Works alright.

Go PC if you can I would say.

Sounds like I will go with the PC, then my pc can easily handle the game, I need a new fan though. :(

That said does that game support xbox 360 controller for the pc?

Nope.....the only way to enjoy the comfortable 360 controlls is by playing it on the 360. There is no issue with spell targeting that was just pulled out of thin air and the graphical difference isn't nearly as great as some would make it sound.

OK, I was trying to be kind but if you really must know the spell targetting on the Xbox is royally screwed. When you bring up the radial menu, point to a target, and fire off a spell the game will frequently spin you around and cast the spell on the last target you were attacking. This only comes into play with non area effect spells of course. Also, because of the lack of camera angle zoom or overhead view it's essentially impossible to pick out one target from a clustered group of targets.

Or better yet, just last night I was playing and the game refused to acknowledge a target directly in front of me and within range of my spells. Since his name/HP bar refused to pop up I had to bring up the radial menu, point to him, cancel the menu, and then finally engage the spell.

So don't tell me I pulled it out of the air. I've had this exact discussion before and multiple people agreed it was wonky. Maybe you don't notice, but it's there. Ignoring it doesn't make it any less true.

Now, does this make the game unplayable? Hardly. I play on the Xbox and I enjoy it just fine. But if I had a choice, given the community bug fixes (Qwinn's, etc.) and the ability to move the camera around, I would happily choose the PC version instead. The Xbox game is more convenient. The PC game is just better. Take your pick...

Unless you hotkey the spell and you have 6 spell/ability slots per weapon and you can have two weapons so you can hotkey up to 12 spells....all of them accessible at the press of a button just like the PC. No radial menu involved. So talk about what you know and shut up about what you don't. I never had problems targeting the desired target without fiddling with the radial menu which is not that different from fiddling with the zoom function...they're just different ways of doing things not better or worse. Even the few times I used the radial menu I never found it a burden or anything that can't be quickly and smoothly used.

If we already have the Collector's Edition installed and purchase the Ultimate Edition, will we be able to install the free DLC without any problems or compatibility issues with previous codes? I have yet to purchase any of the DLC, and would like to get this edition solely for all the DLC.

$110 down the drain for all this bonus content.

I shouldn't buy games new on their release date anymore, I should wait a year when an edition like this comes out, because it's becoming more and more expensive with all this premium DLC.

Uh huh. First off, switching weapons in battle takes precious time. Good luck doing that with a squishy mage on Nightmare. Unless of course you hit select and navigate the full menu. Of course that breaks the flow of battle, takes quite a few seconds, and would be totally annoying.

But even assuming I really have 12 hotkeys, the game goes to level 25. There's also multiple ability point books you can buy. You could easily have around 30 spells by the end. How in the world do you avoid using the radial menu then? In fact, I think I use it more now in the later game than the hotkeys.

But you can protest all you want I suppose. There are clear benefits to the PC version over any console version. The simple fact that the game was DESIGNED for the PC should make you realize that. And things like mods, bug fixes, free form camera, no friggin' background graphical clipping (the Xbox game blinks like mad in some parts), etc. etc. only serve to prove that fact. Given the choice, which I did not have, I would definitely go PC.

Great, you wouldn't. Good for you. In your world the Xbox version poops rainbows and farts music. That doesn't mean others don't have the right to criticize the very obvious flaws contained within.

More nonsese.....have you thought that maybe.....just maybe....if you hotkeyed the switch weapon button to both weapons' power sets you'd much more easily have access to 10 powers if you really hate the radial menu? That's what I did on my Nightmare playthrough and then I had healing potions take up one slot so I always had 9 powers at my fintertips though the healing potions was really an unnecessary waste of a slot as I didn't use it most of the time. I actually PLAYED through this game more than a handfull of times and never ran into problems because I KNEW that if something went wrong it was my own fault for being incompetent not the game or the controlls....that worked out real well.....getting my ass kicked a few times always drove me to figuring new, better and easier ways of doing things as well as composing far better strategies. You just couldn't handle the difficulty and started blaming everything but your own lack of ability to figure some simple things out. I look at your profile and it just confirms what is plainly obvious from your complaints you barely got through the game once and your second character got stuck somwhere in the second playthrough.....probably the higher difficulty....and you gave up in order to start whining instead of learning to play the game. It's a highly strategical game that requires careful thought and planned tactics rather than rushing head-first into everything. So lower the difficulty and go play it untill you learn how to play the game before trying the Nightmare and hard difficulties.

It's people like you that give console players a bad name....it's because of people like you that nearly every game is overly simplistic and holds the hand of the player from start to end, god forbid we actually have to THINK for a second. figure something out or actually learn something.

Wow...just wow.

I don't even know where to start. All I've posted are specific examples and points as to how I defend my views. All you have done so far is tell me to "shut up" and then write a grammatically challenged diatribe about how I must suck at this game and I'm so fail. All of what you have written is patently false...and I am a little dumber for actually having read it.

To close, you might want to look up the lovely logical fallacy known as "ad hominem." You might learn something.

Peace!

Chris and Victor aren't developers so they can't say anything without getting thumbs up from the dev team as well as the PR team to make sure that their info is not only accurate but also in line with the marketing team's plan. I'm sure they'll answer as soon as they can.
