It will NOT include the retailer pre-order promo items, or the collector's edition items.

Then you bring nothing for your core audience that bought everything. And why wouldn't those be in? The retailers no longer distribute them so they aren't losing sales but BioWare would gain sales by including them. It makes no sense whatsoever. Without those then the Ultimate Edition isn't the "Complete Experience" because the inventory is severely crippled by the lack of essentially ALL worthwhile equipment.

Okay. Cool.
Now make a patch! Please...?
Just package ""DA Ruleset Fixpack", "Qwinn's Unoffical Fixpack", "Dialogue Tweaks", "Morrigan Restoration Patch" (with ZDF add-in), and "Gatekisses".
There. DA:O as God and the writers meant it to be!
(Oh, you're right. Forgot about Silverite Mine and busted PQs in DA:A! Guess a patch is still needed.)
Ok.... Fine for PC users.. What about console players? Are they to get the shaft again?

For me it is a rather bad new, if there is now new patch for the ultimate edition it probably means the final version of DAO will still be the totally bugged version 1.04.Chris Priestly wrote...
To answer a few questions:
Yes, the Ultimate Edition comes with the Dragon Age Blood Dragon armor and a code for the Mass Effet 2 Blood Dragon Armor.
Ultimate Edition comes with Patch 1.04
Ultimate Edition is on sale here in North America on October 26.
More answers as we get them.
The funny part of the ultimate edition is that it contains things that are not compatible together like Awakening and WK (WK items that do not transfer and worst, WK that messed up some textures of Awakening).

Yes, that makes about as much sense as continuing to put unimplemented effects on DLC items. This behavior, in its ignorance (of the bugs) and arrogance (assuming we won't notice) has become rather consistent from this developer.

Do you work at Bioware or something? Else how could you possibly know that they are not going to include Kasumi, Overlord and Shadow Broker? Because PC and 360 owners had to pay for it? If the recently released Witch Hunt makes it to the Ultimate Edition of Dragon Age, I doubt that they are not going to put the ME2 DLCs on the PS3 version. You can also expect GOTY or Ultimate editions of Mass Effect 2 to be released on 360/PC along with the PS3 version.Darth_Trethon wrote...
Not all ME2 DLC will be on the release disc of the PS3. They said additional hours.....so expect zaeed and the other free content plus one or two of the premium ones....then they also consider the special "you totally missed out on ME1 rofl" special start as "extra content" so you'll still have to access the cerberus network to buy the rest.

They already said that they are still looking at what to put in and what not to put in the PS3 version at launch but that not all DLC released to date will be in it. I've seen a couple of articles quoting BioWare on this already. So the PS3 version is NOT a complete collection of all there is. They more than clearly said that the PS3 version WILL have a Cerberus Network and the ONLY purpose of the CN is to distriute DLC....if everything was in at launch there would be nothing to have a Cerberus Network for.
Essentially BioWare still loves making money and while you'll likely have all the free DLC on the game disc and one or two of the paid DLCs you'll still have to pay for the rest.

What is it anyway with all the pop music used for a lot of the DA trailers. Is this Bioware's or EA's choice? It's that I'm already familiar with Bioware's work, but otherwise trailers like these really work like turn offs in my opinion. They feel more like fanmade youtube trailers where someone put some random favorite song under it.

You can install Ult Ed & DLC over top of existing DAO/DAO-A & DLCs. Previous saves etc will be fine.

Hmm, being a fan I purchased all DLCs(besides DC) so basically for ?? $ I would save room for 1 game case in my library. I guess this isnt for me then, my PS3 collector edition is way cooler.
Also, the Sausage Ultimate edition looked way better with books, etc

Our local shop displayed DAO Ultimate Edition a 3 weeks ago at its 'coming soon list' but they had no specific date as to when it will be out

First, and most importantly. Will the fish face it the character creator be fixed?
Zenjamin wrote...
I like the chin strap beard. And in DAO on the 360, there is no way you could get that wihout having hallowed out cheeks and a fish face that makes it look like two verry large chunks are missing from your face.
And there is no way you could change it via the jaw or mouth option
Uber retarted.
Please do not let this happen again.
bobosuda wrote...
One of the biggest things that bugged me about the DA:O CC was that whenever you chose a beard, even if it was only that thin chinstrap looking thing, the eniter jaw/cheek section was greyed out so you couldn't edit it, and your cheeks was so horribly hollow that you just looked ridiculous. I don't get why they did it
And second, can you switch saves from one DAO game to another?
I just started DAO not too long ago. If I want to buy this edition, will my progress in this edition be able to transfer over?
PS:
If it can transfer over, but I can get rid of my fish face. I will still make a whole new profile. Just for that.
PPS:
Also, will there be the same DLC for items avaliable in this edition as my default DAO edition?

UNLOCK SAVES FOR PS3! With the number of expansions and DLC, it is impossible to take even TWO characters through all the content. Physical cap on # of saves with a device that has a hard drive in GBs is retarded. Requiring a new save slot for each DLC instead of incorporating into the game is more retarded. And finally, locking the saves so you can't even back up and swap out as needed to stay in the silly limits is just down right infuriating.
This is a simple fix and should of been resolved long ago... Fix with UE, patch, whatever, or you will lots of people pissed off with the UE and have a bad taste towards DA2.

And for those complaining, if you did not get it earlier, you would most likely not have played it earlier either. Yes; by waiting until now you would have saved some cash but would have had to fill the void with something else; possibly something less worthy of your time..
