TFUII had all dlc on the USE but was not locked. There were two discs, one that had main game and all dlc costumes. Disc had extra campaigns and costumes. Could be like that?

If I got it right it authenticates every time you start the game. That´s pointless. Once again, people who didn´t pay for it don´t got hrough that. I guess the UE buyers won´t either. Are the rest going to be stuck with it?

You only have to authenticate it once. After that, you can play all you want without connecting to the internet.

Got it wrong then. Apologies.

I have DA:O with the included DLC on X360. Only the 1st console that activated the DLC code don't have to reauthenicate with Bioware everytime the game is started. I have more than one X360 consoles. If I play on the 2nd console with the same Gamertag that activated the DA:O DLC, the game must authenicate everytime the game starts. It's the same as Mass Effects 2 that has to authenicate with Cerberus on DLC contents everytime the game starts if I play on the 2nd X360 console.

That is part of the reasons why I'm asking if the Ultimate Edition extra contents will be restricted.

To be clear here, I was talking about the PC version, as that's what the person I originally responded to was talking about (indicated he wanted to be able to play on his laptop when travelling, and seemed to think it couldn't be done with the original game).

will the dlc have separated redeem codes, or just 1 code that unlock everything? asking this 'couse I already have all but the 2 last ones, and it would be better if we could choose which ones we want to register and not lost the other ones

Or you could just read the postings from Bioware employees already in the thread and answer your own question...

Will it be possible to play save files from the regular edition of Dragon Age: Origins on the Ultimate edition, or will I have to start all over? Many thanks to anyone who answers this question.

I bought the Collector's Edition PS3 and Awakening on Disc. I also bought all the DLC. If the "Ultimate" edition included the pre-order items I don't have, and fixed Wardens Keep/Awakening incompatibility I might consider buying it. There were several pre-order items and it's not practical to by 6-7 copies of the game just to get everything. I think some stuff was only pre-order for PC or in certain regions (Europe).

If this was truly "Ultimate" and included everything it would be worth buying.

Bioware please comment on this.     If the Ultimate edition includes Wardens Keep and Awakening will these still be broken in Awakening?

I still don't understand why Awakening can't be patched to fix this bug?

There's no codes. The DLC is on disc. That's why there's two discs.

I second this, but my approval is not limited based upon these bug fixes.

I hope the ultimate edition comes with an official timeline! :D

Mmmm... I wouldn't want one, but that's just me. Though it may be official as to how long the chronology swerves by between the Archdemon's fall and the final DLC WH, I prefer to determine how long Origins takes as well as the time lines between which games have not yet been officially announced.

Do any of you read the Bioware posts? No?

Not everyone on here has enough time to read through 6 pages of material, especially if half the posts are longer than a few paragraphs.

Fernando I thank you and BW for this release. I been waiting for it.Im currently playing on a ps3.I have all the content for it.In so getting the Ultimate Edition for the pc.After being on here and making friends that do all of the mods and everything ,I can't wait to try my had at it.One simple question .Will the tool kit and everything work for the Ultimate Edition? Also is there a release date?I didn't see it.

Ultimate Edition will come out in North America on Oct 26th.  It is available in a very limited number of other countries later that week (normally that friday for Europe, for example).

Vortex3D wrote...
Once the contents have been "authenicated", can other accounts on the same console still have access to the contents? This question applies to both PS3 and X360 versions because I'm trying to decide which console version to get as long the contents aren't locked to one gamer account.

On the X360 and PS3 the authentication is handled by the console and follows the same rules as for any DLC content.

no promo and collector's items? and exclusives?

Why?

and blood dragon armor?

Blood Dragon Armor is there.  But there's some legal baggage for the other items as they are exclusive to those respective promotions which we can't get around, sorry.

For PC only, you redeem 1 code that will unlock everything for your account.  As someone else mentioned, once that happens you can then play offline -there's no online requirement past the initial authorization.  This also ensures you can always get to your DLC from social should you need to in the future, as it is enabled on your account.

Digital only.  I don't have a date for this yet from our Mac partner but hopefully it'll be same day or very close to PC date.

Definitely for North America.  For europe/rest of world it may follow the same release as retail version - not sure.

Thanks for the quick reply. But I'm not sure what you mean by 'follow the same release as retail version.' Could you please elaborate?

Great news! I've been waiting for this for some time now, will Warden's Keep DLC items import to the other game modules, like the expansion, and the DLCs in the UE version? It woud be great not to loose my favourite armor and weapon as I move on to Awakening, I allways used them in Origins. I really don't see the point to restrict all items in Warden's Keep DLC for Origins only.

Hey genius. Click the blue Bioware button below the thread title in the "Dragon Age: News and Annoucements" section to only see posts by Bioware personnel. No one has to read through the junk to get answers. You can do that with any thread here. Welcome to Bioware social forum 101...

I was THIS close to pick the game up a few days ago, but the lack of money prevented me from getting it. Now that this version is coming out I'll pick it up As Soon As Possible.

will the ultimate edition allow you to actually bring along your characters who stuck with you at the end of origins along the trip into awakenings? as i really hate to play 80+ hours with one group only to be stuck with another group that i dont care about for 10 hours.....
