Once the contents have been "authenicated", can other accounts on the same console still have access to the contents? This question applies to both PS3 and X360 versions because I'm trying to decide which console version to get as long the contents aren't locked to one gamer account.

On the X360 and PS3 the authentication is handled by the console and follows the same rules as for any DLC content.

If I finish with this game and give it to my brother, who has his own Xbox 360 console, would he be able to play it? The extra content is on the disc right?

OK, so I have the Collector's Edition DLC tied to my account, can I use it in the Ultimate Edition?

Yes, of course. The DLC is tied to your account, not your game edition.

I got a question about the 360 version. Since I read the 360 version will have 2 discs like The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition. I was wondering if the first disc is origins with all dlc and second is awakening? I don't want to have to install it since I don't have a hardrive. Please answer.

Thank you. I wanted to get a physical copy to replace my Steam copy, so I didn't have to download it so often, and this seems like the best deal since I have none of the paid DLC, just all the free stuff.

For PC only, you redeem 1 code that will unlock everything for your account.  As someone else mentioned, once that happens you can then play offline -there's no online requirement past the initial authorization.

For those of us that have DAO, DAA and all the DLC (and don't want to "rebuy" the ultimate edition), can we get a code that will enable us to play offline?  I would think this would save some wear and tear on the Bioware servers, as wel be a good gesture to fans who bought the games months ago.

For me, Why?

In the past, I have lost DLC items and screwed up talking to Shale, and I now religiously check to make sure my DLC items are there every time I start a gaming session or save.

A code would enable me to not worry about losing DLC items, and allow me to play when internet access is not available on my PC.

Please?

We don't know for sure but my bet is that the first disc is DAO, Warden's Keep, Stone Prisoner, the two festday packs and Return to Ostagar(basically everything that you can only play in the main game) and the second disc will likely contain Awakening, Leliana's Song, Darkspawn Chronicles, Golems or Argarack and Witch Hunt.

For those that suggested DA:O UE has all the contents on the disc and not locked with a voucher, how do you know for sure? Each game from different publishers, even the same EA publisher don't necessary follow the same rule on how the contents are included. I do hope DA:O UE has all the contents on disc and not locked but I haven't read any official info to confirm it.

I'll wait until I see the boxed game in the stores but even then, I'm not sure if the info will be outside the box.

Well not exactly like TFU because TFU didn't have any DLC that had to be played through the main game except maybe the sucky costume packs so they just put all the DLC on a second disc. WIth DAO they need to keep the in-game DLC on the same disc as DAO and then they can put the rest on the second disc.

The PC only has all the DLCs locked with one voucher and if you read the dev posts in this thread you'll see they already confirmed this. This doesn't apply to the 360 and PS3 versions.

Sorry if I repeated my question. "This doesn't apply to the 360 and PS3 versions." Have 360 and PS3 versions been confirmed how the contents will be, lock or unlocked?

(Someone said to click on the Bioware icon to see only dev reponses. I tried but couldn't get it to show only dev responses).

Another question that I haven't see any kind of response is locked saved game file to the console. Has DA:O UE on PS3 removed the locked saved game to the console.

What disc will Awakening be on though? That is my final decision before I decide to get the UE.

We don't know but seeing as it's the largest piece of external content(2 GB for the 360) I'd say it's safe to assume it will be on the second disc.

Just read Fernando Melo's chain post. The 360 and PS3 have full content unlocked in the UE. As for the PS3....what game DOESN'T have the saves locked to the system? Isn't that a Sony requirement? Besides they aren't changing the format of the saves as DAO saves you have now will work with the UE so don't expect any change there.

silly me lol.

Anyway I been looking for an excuse to buy this game finally and this baby is more than excuse enough. Won't have to buy everything separately which is preferred.

Sony does not require every game to have console locked saved games. My opinion is EA's decision because most EA games have console locked saved game files. I have read that Bioware said it's Sony's "requirement". That doesn't make the "requirement" very inconsistent because other RPG games such as Fallout 3, Final Fantasy XIII, etc that also have long gameplay don't have console locked saved game files.

I can see it's to prevent trophy hacking but it also shows the game publisher doesn't care if the gamers can protect their game progress. Seriously, the game publishers expect the gamers to be stuck only able to play the same game progress on one PS3 console and cannot easily backup the game progress in the case of corruption? This issue has never been addressed by the game publishers that insist to console lock the saved game file. For myself, whenever I play a long game that has console locked saved game file, I have to hope nothing happens to the save file during the game progress. I also have more than one PS3 consoles which means I have plan which console to start those games because once I started, I can't play on other PS3 console on the same game progress. If anyone disagrees with me, please suggest how I can protect my saved game file and able to continue the same game progress on other PS3 console with the same PSN ID that started the game.

As of changing the "format" of the save file by removing the lock, there has been 2-3 games ie, Resident Evil 5 that removed the console saved game file lock via a patch and the save game file remains compatible. Console locked save game file uses the PS3 OS "Copy Prohibited" flag feature. It's easy for the game developers to release a patch that removes the "Copy Prohibited" flag in the save file.

Many of today's games can't be like the old days, never have to worry about any contents being locked to a code or saved game progress locked to one console.

For PC only, you redeem 1 code that will unlock everything for your account.  As someone else mentioned, once that happens you can then play offline -there's no online requirement past the initial authorization.  This also ensures you can always get to your DLC from social should you need to in the future, as it is enabled on your account.

What?

Isn't the extra content included in the CD? Wasn't supposed this to be the "physical" version of the DLC?

Do i still have to download anything? Please explain this... :(

I guess if it's marketing related, Bioware will answer. If it's bug related, they will not.

All the code will do is verify that you own the DLC, just like if you used one for the Blood Dragon Armor or Stone Prisoner when you bought DAO originally. The installation routine will install them when you install the game.

No, since they have their own lives to live. :)

Victor Wachter specified that all the DLC will physically be on the disk- however, your account will be authorized to download and play the DLC if for some reason you lose the physical copy.

Is this autorization mandatory?

I don't have internet connection in my house right now (i'm posting from my job) do i have to autentificate in order to play them?

And what about the consoles version? Do i need to register them online too?

How many times can they repeat themselves before they get tired of it? I think they've stated often enough that their hands are tied by restrictions on the consoles when it comes to fixing certain bugs.
