I liked the games story but I hated the combat system. It just felt broken to me for some reason and was just a chore to play threw.



- Characters being hit even if you were no where near the attacking monster

- Running at an enemy then the enemy runs at you then your attack get canceled when you collide and the enemy gets a free hit or two.

- Poor ally AI (Spending an hour or so designing strategy for one battle is not my idea of fun).

- Abilities not working





Sorry but as I said I loved the story but the battle system was just a huge let down.

I am a mass effect fan, and I do have DA:O. I do love the game. It just weird seeing you guys put it in the Mass effect section. eck.

Will this be on Steam? I bought the original game on disc and a couple of the DLCs, but I still haven't gotten Awakening and the other half of the DLCs yet. So it seems like this could be a good deal.

So is there any prize for owning on both Console and PC?? I just built my PC because my laptop was dying, so I now have an i7-860, Civ V looks Pretty, Oblivion looks pretty and now DRAGON AGE the way it was meant to be played... Even a thanks for those of you who have it on multiple systems for supporting us more lol... ok, probably not.. :-)

.... so when's the ME2 Ultimate Edition come out? I wanted to get that on PC, too.

Hmm. This actually might be worth it, despite already owning the Collector's Edition. I have put off buying the Awakening and other DLC till I actually managed to play through the game (got stuck in a cave against Dragon Cultists where i couldn't back out of a fight anymore and had run out of healing potions - reloading a different save game would have gone way back too much).

Dragon Age Origins was a great, Awakening needed some work, but I suppose it was an expansion after all. Witch Hunt for me was the best DLC, and I looked forward to it. When I played it though I was disapointed that no real questions we're answered, and that was all the Morrigan story really got, it had so much potential!



sadly I don't think DA2 will grip me like Origins, because of the Mass effect wheel, still I'm going to rent DA2 though.

On my opinion, Dragon Age is better than Mass effect, and if you don't feel like buying it, at least consider renting it. Excellent RPG.

Can't say DA2 will be the same though...

Sorry but as I said I loved the story but the battle system was just a huge let down.

I can agree with these points, however I just kind of put up with the system (as I guess the strategy was quite nerfed on the console version that I play anyway so I guess it was just kind of there)

So essentially you released the game a year early, and this is the real "complete" game. There is very little reason to buy any game at release anymore, I can wait a year for the release of the complete, bug free, version for half the cost.

Probably going to be in January, you know when ME2 is released on PS3 with it's *makes air signals with his fingers* bonus content *stops using air signals*
