I'm working on a stand-alone module where the game starts with a conversation, the pc being woken up in bed after being injured. No matter where I place her she always seems to be partly inside the bed. Does anyone know what I can do to make this right? I've tweaked the stages, changed the placement of the waypoint, and tried to make the bed interactive (which is completely unrelated, I found) but nothing works. I've also looked at other conversations for reference (like when the pc wakes up in Flemeth's Hut) but turned up no clues. I've also googled the hell out of this issue. Nothing.
Can't get pc to lie properly in a bed

What bed are you using? Prop or placeable? Model name?

I'm using genip_bed_straw, a placeable but I also tried using one of the beds that are already part of the area, though that's not preferable and didn't work anyway. I wasn't aware there were props.

Looking at the Flemeth's hut area where you wake up in a bed, it would appear to use a prop rather than a placeable (i.e. placed in the level editor).

Are you saying that I would have to create a whole new level instead of selecting an already available one to get the bed to have the properties I want? I have tried using one of the beds that are already in the level with the same result.
I tried creating a new custom model out of a bed model, re-importing it to the game, and tweaking the .phy file to add more collision but didn't have any luck with that either, but I feel like I might be on the right track.

heyas;
have you tried using a cutscene for the line, rather than just a stage? you can directly place your actors in a cutscene, whereas on the stage, its just the dummy i believe. i didn't have any trouble placing my cutscene actors on a bed exactly where i wanted them.
also... take a look at the fade area and try to find zevran's nightmare. he has dummies standing on his stage, but his base pose is 'torture,' which is lying on the rack. i dont know how they lined it up, but it worked for them.

which did you go with? cutscene for the line, or messing with the animations/stage?

I did it with cutscenes. A little tedious, but it worked. When I originally tried to mess with the dummies in the stages by putting the dummy in the lying position, I ended up having the character upside down with her feet sticking out of the bed.
