I have played games for the better part of the last decade but never really took them seriously until I played ME, they were just a arcady fun thing to do every now and then. ME opened my eyes to how strong storytelling can be in interactive media and now every other medium doesnt measure up. Games have become my prefered source of entertainment along with music because of it.

The only reason I stopped playing recently is to keep the whole thing fresh, and believe me it is difficult to stay away.
Anyways, I remember reading something somewhere about a guy saying how Mass Effect satisfied him more than his girlfriend and some other forumite replied, "On the contrary I found your gf quite satisfying". Made my week.

Hi My name is Karen and I'm also a Mass Effect addict..... I use the "it's what I do" often and also "that's sweet you think I care". I used that on my husband once, he just shook his head. I have one student that comes by my office and he get's it, which is nice,

I had a class where we studied film as an art-form. The teacher gave us an essay in which we had to write about how something has the capability of being an art-form. I talked about about how immersive worlds, characters you care about, and social commentary can be just as strong as any film or book. When I got it back, it had a 100 in red ink, with "Mass Effect?" written next to it.
Now that is just goddamn awesome.
How come I cant have teachers who know about this stuff? I guess all the ones I have are too old to know about video games...

- I have a couple of Mass Effect shirts.
- I have a couple of N7 mugs.
- I have a couple of Mass Effect books.
- I have all DLC for both games.
- I keep listening to the soundtracks every day.
- Other games seem completely substandard to me.
- I have the Collector's Edition for ME2. I also have ME1 on both PC and Xbox 360.
- I have a couple of Mass Effect posters in my room.
- My Xbox LIVE bio is quotes from Mass Effect.
- My Xbox LIVE avatar is the N7 armor with the helmet on.
- In addition to Bad Astronomy and Universe Today, these are the only forums I frequent.
- My cellphone says "You have unread messages at your private terminal." in Kelly's voice whenever I receive a message.
- I am a known editor on the Mass Effect Wiki.
Good enough, I guess.
