Well, I own a collectors edition and regular edition of mass effect 2, a regular edition of me1, a ****load of avatar items, the 3 books, the comic books, and all of the DLC except pinnacle station. Basically I'm a junkie. And when someone insults me2, I may or may not challenge them to a battle to the death.

Well every time I talk games with my freinds ME comes up one way or another and they just look at me with blank stares and then yell "CALL OF DUTY YEAH! GET SOME!" and then I think to myself "Hopeless."

I have played games for the better part of the last decade but never really took them seriously until I played ME, they were just a arcady fun thing to do every now and then. ME opened my eyes to how strong storytelling can be in interactive media and now every other medium doesnt measure up. Games have become my prefered source of entertainment along with music because of it.

Any video game talk results in me bringing up Mass Effect.

The only reason I stopped playing recently is to keep the whole thing fresh, and believe me it is difficult to stay away.

Anyways, I remember reading something somewhere about a guy saying how Mass Effect satisfied him more than his girlfriend and some other forumite replied, "On the contrary I found your gf quite satisfying". Made my week.

I had a class where we studied film as an art-form. The teacher gave us an essay in which we had to write about how something has the capability of being an art-form. I talked about about how immersive worlds, characters you care about, and social commentary can be just as strong as any film or book. When I got it back, it had a 100 in red ink, with "Mass Effect?" written next to it.

Hi My name is Karen and I'm also a Mass Effect addict..... I use the "it's what I do" often and also "that's sweet you think I care". I used that on my husband once, he just shook his head. I have one student that comes by my office and he get's it, which is nice,

edit

Geez...i wish i had a cool teacher like you when i was growing up

Not teacher,  Just work in the art office and a university.    Love the kids though, well young and older adults.   They are all great.

Now that is just goddamn awesome. :o

How come I cant have teachers who know about this stuff? I guess all the ones I have are too old to know about video games...

Since joining the Marines I am hoping the armor they are wearing becomes available before they put me in a war zone where the average life span is 15 seconds (I think) for a guy in Artillery, which is what I will be doing after recruit training.

I have dirty dreams about Asari (Oh and I once tried to convince the ex-mrs to let me paint her blue).
I'm also obsessed about space, and space travel. But i've always been that way :D

Where to start?

- I have a couple of Mass Effect shirts.
- I have a couple of N7 mugs.
- I have a couple of Mass Effect books.
- I have all DLC for both games.
- I keep listening to the soundtracks every day.
- Other games seem completely substandard to me.
- I have the Collector's Edition for ME2. I also have ME1 on both PC and Xbox 360.
- I have a couple of Mass Effect posters in my room.
- My Xbox LIVE bio is quotes from Mass Effect.
- My Xbox LIVE avatar is the N7 armor with the helmet on.
- In addition to Bad Astronomy and Universe Today, these are the only forums I frequent.
- My cellphone says "You have unread messages at your private terminal." in Kelly's voice whenever I receive a message.
- I am a known editor on the Mass Effect Wiki.

Good enough, I guess.

Haha!

Hey, Bannyjammin! I seem to be running into all the old faces from the original ME2 forums today.

I like to inform people that I've had it with their disingenuous assertions. Though I've yet to reach the point where I punch them for it.

I bought an N7 t-shirt, hat, and hoody. Sadly right after I got them they broke the news about the armor strip N7 shirts. Now I have to convince somebody to get me one or just buy it myself.

I like driving around in my hat, hoody, and shirt wearing a pair of aviator sunglasses and thinking YEEEEAAAHHH!
