What are you more excited for: Mass Effect 3 or Dragon Age 2?

Though they are close, DA2 wins by a little bit.

Yes I know not Bioware but 2 weeks away and I'm very psyched for it.
Meanwhile DA2 is still quite a ways away and still nothing on ME3 (still looking forward to them but New Vegas will help with the waiting)

With that reason, I've abaddoned the Dragon Age line of games for good and will be focusing my attention to Mass Effect and The Old Republic when they launch that MMO. I also feel that Dragon Age was rushed, even though they've been working on it since just after Kotor 1 was released (I believe I might wrong). Dragon Age 2 might be a lot better, graphically and story wise, but based on the first game and it's DLC's I have no hope for it, or a "want" to want to actually play it.
Mass Effect is so well done that the series is far and away better than Dragon Age ever will be in my opinion, especially in the emotion department. I feel so much more emotion from Mass Effect 1 than I ever did in Dragon Age. Matter of fact, I felt nothing while playing Dragon Age, not a single emotion at all. It was dull and boring to be honest. Mass Effect 1 on the other hand gave me quite a few different instances of emotion, and the emotion leaving someone is pretty gut wrenching, because even though you may not like that particular person, it's still a pretty emotional part of the game. Then the ending was perfect, and I couldn't help but feel emotion there. I havn't played through all of ME 2, but there's a ton of emotion in that game within the first portion of it, it's amazing.
Why can't that storytelling and sense of emotion be conveyed to Dragon Age? I know there are two different teams working on them, but seriously there are two guys that have their hands in all games Bioware, so why not do the same or different types of emotional system for Dragon Age? It's sad really, because I felt Dragon Age had a ton potential, but fell so short of the bar that it was relegated to nothing more than something that had to be played through and forgetten.
I apologize to those that felt an emotional connection to Dragon Age, but I for one did not. It's a highly rated game based on the hype, in my opinion, and was not a very good game for me. I tried it on the PC, better graphics but I just didn't feel anything. The Mass Effect series is where it's at for me, and I'll continue to enjoy it for years to come I'm sure.

Its wierd how tastes differ. I ignored the DA hype and was pleasantly surprised, although I played it patched and modded the first time. While ME2 was a disappointment after the hype and it failing to be a sequel.
Eitherway I will probably never get excited about BioWare games again as the direction they (and everyone else) is going now is so generic, replaceable and soulless.

I couldn't get into DA:O as much as I got into ME1 & 2 because your protagonist never speaks, hardly ever bats an eye in any given situation and many of the characters were utterly unlikeable.
Also I like the story of the ME-Universe (so far) much better, even though I like both SciFi and Fantasy equally well.
Fallout: New Vegas sounds good, i'll have to see if I can take a look at it on a console or something, to evaluate if it is worth buying (ya know, to keep me busy until ME3 arrives).

Since I do not own any kind of console, I will have to see if one of my buddies buys the game, then I can test it.
If not, well, then I think I'll just buy it anyway (for PC).

I'll still buy DA2, but as it isn't a sequel/continuation of the warden's story, I'm not massively excited about the game at this point.
And yes, the DLC. ME kicks the snot out of DA for DLC.

Just wondering, how long after the official announcement of ME2 was it released?
Not sure but DA:O came out at the back end of 2009, with ME2 following end of Jan 2010. Only a few months in between. With the 'big leap' being made from ME1 to ME2, do you think it is reasonable to hope that ME3 may follow a few months after DA2? Or is this just wishful thinking?

I also thought that it would take less time to make ME3 as the devs stated that the gameplay is right where they want it, so there won't be an absolute overhaul like there was in ME1. But i think at the absolute earliest, with a bit of wishful thinking, we'll see ME3 at the end of 2011.

Anyway, looking forward to ME3 more, easily. I'm a sci-fi lover.
