It would be incredibly shallow and one dimensional to cast The Illusive Man and Cerberus as "evil". Personally, I think they are awesome. Let us not forget: THEY WERE THE ONLY ONES THAT WERE RIGHT.

I have to admit, Cerberus bought my soul with the promise of 72 asari virgins if I die. I feel gypped that I got nothing the first time I died. I'm not making this mistake again.

Dammit! If Cerberus brought you back while being serviced 72 asari virgins, then they must be evil heartless terrorists.

True, but it would be equaly shallow and one dimensional to cast TIMmy and his redshirts as heroes. They are only human you know, not unfailiable saviours of the galaxy. They were the only ones doing enough about the collector threat, thats all.

The fact that TIM's going to be a protagonist in a separate series tells as much that he's going to be given reasons and justifications for what he does and thinks. Hell, they seem to be going to make TIM into some sort of Indiana Jones in retirement...

He is a bad boy, but a good guy.

It depends on who you ask, TIMmy certanly thinks he is a hero for doing what he thinks is the only way forward. Shepard and Miranda doubts if his plans are wise but does the only thing they can at the moment and follow him and hope it does more good than harm. TIMmy has never made any attempt to hide that he will not hesitate to treat everyone, even allies, however he think is necesary for what he believes is the greater good in the long run. But I think he would prefer to treat Shep and Miri well and gain their trust if that is possible, it is much more effective and I do think he truly likes them both.

I think TIMmy would be the first one to admit that he can not be trusted to not betray anyone and that he will use methods some may define as terrorism if necesary.

Illusive Man has never said he's a hero, and given what we do know about him and what he has said, I don't think he believes that to be true.

He's just doing what he can to ensure humanity doesn't end up like the volus or drell. He doesn't want humanity to be an alien race's pets.
