I'm also pretty sure cunning doesn't have anything to do with the quality of loot. At least I've never heard of such a thing before.
I also think most of the [Cunning] dialogue options are there already if you have only the 16 cunning needed to get all ranks of Coercion. I didn't notice any new dialogue options for my rogue at least.

Besides the 16 pts needed for Coersion and Survival, the bomus AP gained appears to be a bit costly based on the STR or DEX you would lose.

Cunning is extremely poor for a warrior outside of just getting enough to have all ranks of Coercion. It boosts armor penetration a bit, but not nearly enough to be worth it over strength/dex.

I'm still tweaking this build around but as far as dialouge goes my cunning is at 30 in Ostagar (with House Dace chain and maneuvering cinch) and I got some new options in dialogue I've never seen before with Flemeth and Tranquil dude and Tower of Ishal. In the Kocari wilds I got Grey Iron Heavy Plate Gloves. I'm still not sold on this build because compared to Alistair my Sword n Board is trailing behind despite sounding all leader-like.

If dialogue options made a big difference in this game, maybe. And even then the [Cunning] options are just a very small part of it.

You will get a few new options, but I just can't see it being worthwhile.

So other than opening [cunning] dialouge it's not worth it, as I suspected. Thanks

It is intriguing that a piece of heavy plate dropped in the Kocari Wilds. Do you recall what level your Warden was and what dropped it? I have gotten Grey Iron Chain Mail along with the caster boots from that quest where you sprinkle dust on the rocks, but I have never seen heavy plate drop.
If Cunning does affect the quality of loot, that makes sense to me. It would be fun to make a max-cunning character just to see the other dialogue options.

Heck, put every point you get into Cunning and do an entire playthrough on Easy. It's something new to do!

I'm beginning to think that cunning is a hidden modifier for loot. Played the Wilds again with 31 cunning warrior. Got a Iron Metal Kite Shield in one of the chests by the pen where one of the Chasind signs are. The Heavy Plate Gloves was from one of the Jogby/Rigby missions I think. I always around level 3-4 in the Wilds

Cunning is like Magic. They are both useless unless of course you are a Rogue or a Mage.
Magic isn't useless in moderate amounts. It increased the efficiencey of healing.

No, there are a few that are unlocked by higher cunning scores, like some with Flemeth and in the Tower of Ishal if you are above 30 (which requires you to max cunning or use mod equipment to boost). Nothing earth-shattering and definitely not worth nerfing your warrior for.termokanden wrote...

True, but neither is cunning in moderate amounts. It increases armor penetration and helps with skills. However, the fact remains that unless you are a Rogue or a Mage those two attributes should not be of any priority.errant_knight wrote...
