Details coming soon. The names won't help since they're from DA II and I can't post the art yet, but I can tell you that we're looking at printing at 39" x 22" what I think is one of the most stunning lithographs I've seen. Its looks like three total 2 at the normal size and one big one. More to come shortly.

So wait...no more DA:O Lithos?...damn...

edit:  hold on...so your going to be releasing lithos of characters and scenery from a game that isnt even out yet?  ...that makes no sense...i mean, most everything, however stunning or pretty they may be, will be meaningless....we wont have any idea wtf we're lookin at...we wont have any connection...you could release a piece of art from a very unique place in game that our characters may never even see depending on how we play, or possible changes to the game or...whattever...

sounds good, I'll have to wait and see what the images are before I jump the gun though. For the larger litho, a scenery one would definitely be worth it

Really? Did they do that with Mass Effect 2? No, everyone knew what the lithos were. So it stands to reason they'll release images that everyone will recognice in game, or else not as many people would buy them.

Jedi, do you have an estimate on when the Arch Demon/Price of Power mini's will be released?

For the DA II Lithographs you'll have enough context from what has already been released that they will make sense (and the art is amazing). I don't have an estimate on the DA Mini's but I'd say likely towards the end of this month.

What if you haven't been following the game at all? I read the article in Game Informer, and haven't paid attention since. ME2 got spoiled like crazy for me, so I'm avoiding that at all costs now.

If the lithograph is a detailed map of Thedas, then I'm all for it! <3

Ha, DukeofNukes, that's why I didn't look at a single review/trailer/article at all, except for the e3 reveal. I hate it when developers spoil their own games through the trailers and when reviewers do the same with reviews.

Really? I can't believe you're even arguing this...fine, let's get started:

In the case of ME2 Lithos, not only did the Store wait to release the Litho's until after the game itself was released, but several of the early released images were of locations that were either described in great detail within the books (Omega)  or already pictured in ME1 (Citadel) - so of course everyone knew what the lithos were!  ...and now the ME2 Lithos are struggling simply because they're featuring locals that obviously don't mean much to the general consumer - Korlus is still up, and there are already murmurs of unrest over the two ME2 Litho's to come, concerning the fact that they only exist for a short time within the storyline of a single ME2 character...yet the Lithos are still being made...

...now with DA2, we're being taken to a completely different region of Thadus, that we have notably been kept in the dark about (though i havn't read the books) - for reasons relating to EA's/Bioware's precious 'hype' - aside from what seems to be the 'main city', for which we have absolutley no particular knowledge of or connection to!  Also, think back to the DA:O Lithos...Price of Power flew off the shelves, yet it didnt portray anything that I'm aware of that actually happened in-game - but it sold a truth of the DAUniverse, thus it was popular.  Where as the other two weren't;  a static, calm image of the Archdemon was completely uninteresting imho and the Pride Demon (assuming its the one in the Deep Roads) was the manifestation of a tricky quest that only the most diligent RP'ers would stumble across - my point being, they still made these rare scenes into Litho's!  And granted, the Store does communicate with the art teams of Bioware but as I've said, pretty much the only info and concept images I know of deal with the 'main city' - so the three DA2 Litho's to come are all going to be of this same city? - particularly the XL Litho, sticking out among our respective Litho collections due to its size, and we just have to hope  that these concepts will be similar to the final in-game manifestation (as the games not even released yet, who's to say the devs wont change something)? - and that the image itself will somehow matter and is going to be significant enough to each of us personally?  I'm sure they're beautiful - I'm not doubting Jedi - but its ridiculous to except us to care about these when we don't yet fully understand anything about them - the setting, the characters...in general, this game!

...and what of DA:O?  There are so many beautiful, important, and inspiring scenes in that game that we all already know, love, and have some sort of connection to - and yet we havn't seen a single one developed into a Litho!?!...and with the production of DA2 Lithos comes the implication that no more DA:O Lithos will be produced...

...it seems your "reasoning", villain, has absolutely nothing to do with these Lithos...

I agree fully with you Dsurian but this is a store and the decisions have shown that their only interested in money/marketing which is perfectly fair for a store. Their thinking is to promote/market their new title DA2 fully in anyway so forget DAO its completly over, make DA2 lithos. Its sad that we will most likely never see anymore DAO lithos but thats the way business people think. Who really cares if they don't sell out fast, the hype for DA2 is only going to grow so their guaranteed to not only sell but add to the hype aswell.

Well, to be fair to the store, the DA:O lithographs have been a disaster. The Arch Demon sat around for months. The Pride Demon is still sitting around. As of writing there are seventeen copies left in the store, despite the initial run being 350 and despite being at halfprice for the last two months. I don't think the Price of Power was a brisk seller either.

While I don't think the Pride Demon and the Archdemon were good choices for lithographs; I can easily understand while the want to move on to the next installment. I just hope one of these new lithographs is one of the conept arts of Kirkwall. They're so pretty.

Just a quick note on why DA II vs DAO. The decision is based on the fact that 1) the art style for DA II is different from DAO and they art team wants to move forward and feature that art style. 2) Since the store was opened after the launch of DAO much of the art from that game was not create in a size or resolution that works for Lithographs.

I think that has more to do with DAO just being a horrible game compared to ME2. ;)

DAO was far from horrible. I enjoyed the hell out of it, even though the 360 versions graphics were inferior in every way possible....

Truth be told...  Mass Effect was my first 360 game and as such, it will always hold a special place in my gaming heart.  Dragon Age doesn't stand a chance against Mass Effect to me solely for that reason.  Image IPB

Horrible compared to ME2. I agree on the graphics...and the conversation system...and the music...and the DLC...it's like DAO was made by the junior team while the best people worked on ME2.

You are entitled to your opinion.

Didn't need to hear that to know. ;)

Also, at the end of the day, the DAO lithographs weren't what people were really interested in. Lithographs are at their best when they evoke their source. Seeing a fantasy stereotype of a demon and a dragon on my wall isn't really evocative of what DAO was trying to be. Contrast that with Ilium, TIM, Minuteman, Omega, Normandy, Citadel....you get the idea. ^^

They were both inferior to the first Mass Effect, so what are we even talking about?

It's not about which was "better"...it's about which sold better. The Dragon Age series isn't likely to ever be as popular as the ME series...if only because it has the word "Dragon" in it. While people might like dragons, they hear it in the name of a game and they go "UBER DORK ALERT!"

The Arch Demon litho is gorgeous...and the Pride Demon is great too. I have 5 (full sized) lithos hanging on the wall, and in order of the amount I love them: Citadel, Arch Demon, Pride Demon, Collectors, Afterlife. Since they are on sale, I've actually been considering purchasing some extra of the Pride Demons...but I'm trying to be smart and not spend too much money right now.

Most of the ones you mentioned in your post prior to this...you might as well have gone with a screenshot from the game. Beautiful lithos, to be sure, but not as interesting as some of the more obscure concepts.
