Dragon Age 2 Lithographs Coming Soon

I was raging rather hard when I heard about the me2 changes over me1, but bioware got it right, when they had so many more ways of getting it wrong. Also, all this talk is making me want to buy DA:O... never played it myself.

@Dan & Duke: Sure i understand that capitalism reigns supreme, I'm just upset that DA:O hardly got a chance when it should have...maybe even a lil Awakening Litho love would have been nice - Vigils Keep, a collage (architect, broodmother, etc.), and more....and I'm sure that the art team is still around (seriously, its not like they all got fired by Bioware), but its denied anyways. Besides, just about every commenter here (not even in this thread, but in the Store forum) owns DA:O (erik above being one of the few exemptions...and now he might buy it anyways) so don't say that the game was unpopular or assume that any more Litho's created would have failed - because it simply isn't true; demand is here, the DA:O Litho announcements (that never yielded product) got people excited, and we've posted so many suggestions. And sure, the word "Dragon" might have some stigmatism surrounding it, but just try to actually explain any of your ME2 Litho's to any oblivious individual and that same stigmatism will surface: "Wait...this is just art from a role-playing video-game?" "...but wait..look, it doesn't have the word 'dragon' in the name!! ...so its ok!" - your kidding me, right?
Let me metaphor it for you:
Conclusion: The majority of us arn't art critics or even particularly art lovers (i know these Litho's are the first pieces of art I've owned) - we're just lovers of games! So how the hell does it make any sense to either not release Litho's of a game that we almost all have played and loved *or* release art for a game that we know close to nothing about?...it doesn't, hence my animosity...
Edit: DA:O Art Resolution (quote) - Okay...and the art team members are somehow incapable of expanding/polishing such images, or actually taking the time to create one or two more of their lovely concepts with the correct dimensions relating to DA:O?...Oh right, since they arn't getting paid to work DA:O anymore, that means they won't...SILLY ME! /sarcasm And what about Awakening or any of the DLC?
Edit2: And yes, i know theres little-to-no point in tryin to use reason to fight a battle thats already been lost, so I'll shut up for now...I love the Store and everything Jedi has done for us on these forums, and truthfully I am somewhat intrigued when it comes to these DA2 Lithos - one of the concepts released does look quite serene...but if anyone can make any sense out of this scenario, I'd love to hear it - Dan? Duke? Jedi?

They were both inferior to the first Mass Effect, so what are we even talking about?Tocquevillain wrote...
I think that has more to do with DAO just being a horrible game compared to ME2.
It's not about which was "better"...it's about which sold better.
Right, and elsewhere in this thread we had an admission that Dragon age did not sell as well as Mass Effect 2. So we KNOW there are more people interested in Mass Effect 2 than in DAO. It has nothing to do with Mass Effect, because Mass Effect did not have lithographs. So, to answer your question, we're comparing the relative quality of two Bioware titles, one of which has a bigger fanbase and which Bioware clearly polished more.

I have wondered about the DAO lithos of why they were sold out in the old store for a long time but then became available again in the new store(unless I'm remembering wrong). Its true that POP sold out but it sold out eventually over months I believe. They had 2 bombs and one turtle. Even after the continued success of the ME2 lithos for whatever reason there was no real push to make more DAO lithos happen. Too be honest I passed on POP myself, it was so vaguely connected to DAO and though it had nice colours I never felt anything from it. It was more of a standalone fantasy piece then a DAO litho in my opinion.
The only way to know for sure would be to ask whomever Jedi dealt with for DAO lithos. Perhaps its as simply as what Jedi said that there are few in the right format and after the fail of 2/3 lithos they decided its not worth the time.
Its sad, if they had put some real effort into it and found or created more concepts with the ME2 lithos as a guide I'm sure it would have been a successful endeavor.

It did note that there would be some DAO and DAII merchandise coming out, but did not specifically say more DAO lithographs. However, I must say, some of the concept arts that people posted for future lithographs I would gladly have gone for. I don't believe that the team felt DAO was not worth their time, or why would Jedi have asked for ideas on it in the first place? I think that perhaps once they start selling DAII merchandise, they can't really fall back to selling concepts and ideas based on the original.
That the team actually did a mini of Saren from ME1 and paired it with Garrus from ME2 was actually quite surprising for me.

ME2 did better as I think it has a wider audience than DAO has, it also seems more popular. DA2 is following a similar build as ME now, so only time will tell. Plus it makes sense in wanting to promote DA2 over DAO now anyway.

Meh...generally Litho's are from concept drawings - that looks like the game engine chewed on it...so i doubt it, but nice pic nevertheless...Nameless one7 wrote...

Of the concept art for Kirkwall I thought that was the best. Besides what's shown on the site and the level of beauty for the lithographs in person is a vast difference.

I'm looking forward to the Kirwall one though. Hope it's in a similar style to the concept art in the Gallery.

Nameless is correct on the Kirkwall Litho which looks amazing printed IMO. Print run will likely be 500 but I will confirm.

Thanks for confirming Jedi. An Orzammar litho would be great to. (Always wanted a picture of a Dwarven city on my wall)
It's going to be one competitive day when Morrigan gets released:)
