What is your play style, are you good, bad or evil? What choices do you make?

I am dark but not evil.

I take everything I can, side with the merchant in Lothering, and always defile the Urn Of Sacred Ashes. I always do the dark rituel.

I do every side quest I can. :)

I side with the Golems in Orzammar and with the mages in the tower.

The Dalish, usually the Dalish but I am inclined to side with and recruit the Werewolves because  the leader is such a cocky, lying, pain in the behind. And his apprentice is not much better.

I always have Dalish Elves or Noble Dwarves.

I usually have two handed warriors but I have a duel weilding female Dalish Warrior now and I like the duel wielding school now.

Mages I am not fond of. Too weak in the mellee department and armour wise.

I don't like Rogues. They are the weakest class. Not being able to take on enemies face to face is annoying.

I'm a goodie two-shoes with the exception that I will do the thieving quests because I look at Slim whats-his-name as Ferelden's Robin Hood. My favorite race/class combo is a Dalish Rogue focused on Archery and I have no problems surviving toe-to-toe with the enemy (thanks in no small part to Arrow of Slaying which at higher levels one shots just about every white and some yellows).

I'd say I was neither good, nor bad, but shades of grey. I try to look at the big picture and do what's right, even if it means killing a few people. Collateral damage is acceptable to me, but I try not to intentionally kill innocents.

Dwarves, I prefer to put Harrowmount on the throne, Behlan doesn't sit well with me - he seems like a manipulative, power hungry nut. And I don't like the killing his brother thing.

Elves - I kill the werewolves. I feel bad for them, but at the end of the day, they ARE animals, and I don't trust them to keep their cool. Zathrien dies, though.

Tower - I side with the mages. Again, I'm not about just killing everyone because it's easier or safer. Since I'm going in anyway, I'll spare any sane mage I find. I also let that blood mage go now and again - she seems willing to give up blood magic. Usually, she dies, though - she did attack me, after all.

I recruit Zev, and Sten. Sten seems repentant, and I need the help at that point. Zev swears to serve me - I can kill him later if I choose.

I kill the cultists. I don't like cults at all. Not a big fan of the Chantry, either, but I'm not doing it for them. I'm saving Eamon (because I kind of have to, not a big fan of him) not promoting the Chantry. I kill that dragon, too, because dragons are dangerous - and she's got loot.

Branka dies every time - the lady is a freaking nut. She slaughtered her family and followers, let them become broodmothers and worse. She dies. I'd love some golems, but not with her at the controls.

Anora is Queen. I can't stand Alistair, he doesn't want the job anyway, so why give it to him?

Loghain dies. He spent the game trying to kill me, and doing other things I don't like (but don't want to argue about), so he dies. I recruited him once, just to send Alistair off in a drunken stupor. But that's it.

I prefer to play warriors. I'm a strand toe-to-toe kind of person, direct and head on, and warriors suit that.

SPOILER WARNING

I'm neutral evil, out for self (I play a goody two shoes once to experience a different game)

I do all side quests if possible as well

Most popular decisions

Prisoner at Ostagar - better to die at my hands then the darkspawn later on ;)

Sided with Lothering merchant (killed him a few times when playing city elf)

City elf turns on Zathrien at the ruins then kills the humans after the curse is lifted. Humans attack the Dalish camp.

Side with Bhalen then at the last minute give the crown to Harrowmont. Side with Golems over Branka

Save the mage tower ONLY because I can make good money selling them lyrium.

Save Redcliffe, more quests unlocked and I don't like the sole surviving Teagan bit.

Connor's annoying mom dies, Morrigan or I go into the fade.

Ashes normally defiled then I turn on the cultists outside.

Non humans and mages convince Al to take the throne, Loghain dies, Anora imprisoned. Human nobles marry Anora and send Al off.

Dark ritual always performed.

My fav race class combo is city elf assassin mostly male romancing Morri to start then switching to Leliana (hanging on to both as long as possible)

then human bloodmage. Female Leli -> Zev

then elven arcane warrior 2H Female Zev -> Leli

then human reaver 2H Male Leli -> Morri

Al never gets any from my female PCs but he is guaranteed the DR with Morri. Too good of an ending to pass up ;)

Right now playing dwarves male S&B and female str rogue.

Male Noble Dwarf Warrior Two-Hander ( Berserker & Reaver )
Male Noble Dwarf Rogue ( Assassin & Duelist )
Male Human Mage ( Blood Mage & Shapeshifter )

When playing as a d0rf, I'm all about the sovereigns. Whatever pays the most, that's what I do. When playing as a Human Mage, I'm straight-up evil. If I can kill them, they die, and the only exceptions are the people I can recruit. I haven't unlocked the Blood Mage achievement yet, but I will eventually. Too busy playing my d0rfs atm. I keep everyone happy and I bump their approvals as high as I can all around for the bonuses, but I only romance either Leliana or Morrigan.

Side Questing: I do 'em all because there's no such thing as too much XP and I have yet to hit Level 25 playing legit. I do my best to play DA without taking advantage of the bug exploits, but alas, my d0rf ego sometimes trips me up . . .

Connor & Arl of Redcliffe: I save Connor by the Circle method, but the only Mage I save in The Harrowing Chamber fight is First Enchanter Irving. I let Uldred kill the other two. The lyrium quest is the main reason, though, and it's fun to blackmail a mage as well. In the Urn quest I kill the Cult of Andraste. They're too creepy to let live. As for the Ashes, I defile them and the tell Leliana I didn't do it.

Elvez-z-z-z-z . . . : I side with the Werewolves. Killing elvez iz fun yup yup.

D0rfs:: I kick Bhelen's ass every time. I just wish Gorim was beside me when I cut Bhelen's throat. Hell, I'd let Gorim do it for me. Another cut-scene I'll never see. /sigh As for Branka, she dies. I don't care how good those golems are. Sac'ing a d0rf to live as a golem is just messed up in my book.

Loghain/Throne: I always kill Loghain for what he did at the Battle of Ostagar. I busted my butt and lit the damn thing and then he just walks off? Oh hellz no! He dies. Period. As for Anora or Alistair, I stick with Alistair. Anora is too overconfident of her abilities. I don't care how hot she is, she's still a blonde, and I love brunettes and redheads.

My favorite thing to do: Stealing with Leliana! I love Leliana for what she gets me from Stealing when I play as a Warrior. She brings home the bacon so I always romance her instead of Morrigan.

My least-favorite thing to do: Reloading fights so I get decent money drops or a specific item I'm trying to get (e.g. Steel Warden's Helmet for Alistair early in the game).

I live up to the bad reputation that d0rfs have. If people are going to walk around and talk smack saying how greedy d0rfs are, then who am I to disappoint them?

All my Warriors are Human Nobles, they have a 50/50 chance of being "Stupid Good" with taking Leliana/Alistair as LI, or being Haughty and Superior with Morrigan/Leliana as a LI. Stupid good warriors tend to helps the Templars/werewolves/harrowmont/kills Conner, makes Alistair do the Dark Ritual as Ferelden needs its King and this is his first big decision as King. H&S warriors help the Mages/Dalish/Bhelen/Save Isolde and Conner but spares the Desire Demon; does the Dark Ritual as a Male or turns it down as a female and gets Alistair to make the killing blow and becomes King or runs off with Leliana as a Female.

Rogues are Elves, not a fan of Dwarves. Dalish or City Elf, doesn't matter, humans are scummy. So I save the Mages, the Dalish, let Isolde sac herself for Conner, and Harrowmont will keep the dwarves out of Elven affairs. Morrigan or Zevran for LI. Dark Ritual is a must as death is not an option. Make Serrani head of the Alienage or get lands for the Dalish.

Mage, only have the 1, he's human and he's only recently completed Golems of Agmarrak awaiting the Witch Hunt fix. He's all over the place helping or stealing, I mean he is a mage and since he is with the wardens is technically an apostate since he tried to help Jowan escape. Basically out for himself but feels for others who are repressed or downtrodden... romanced Morrigan but still banged the Desire Demon. So far he is my favorite character I've rolled up since he is pretty much based on myself which is telling, lol. So Mages/Dalish/Bhelen/saved Isolde&Conner and really really had to resist defiling the sacred urn. Totally killed Flemeth and the High Dragon.

I like to play a totally different character every time, and make their choices part of their story. I like to mix them up as much as possible (gotta get all those achievements!!).

That said, I do enjoy playing my darker characters more. Especially the flawed ones and ones who don't get their own way. My last warden was a dwarf noble on a personal quest for a noble death (ie, in battle) in repentance for killing his brother. However, the return trip to Orzammar only saw him kill his other brother too and sent him quite unstable. He was fixated on Leliana and saw her as his redemptive angel, but was jealous of her devotion to the Maker, so defiled the ashes, resulting in him killing her too (and giving her a death which oddly echoed Andraste's - killed by men jealous of their holy devotion. Wonder if Leliana would have secretly approved...)

I also plan on doing a Human Noble who obsessively hates and distrusts all magic (as a ploy for an all-warrior playthrough) so the circle mages are all history, and I can't see him lifting a finger to help Morrigan, let alone face her terrifying mother, so Morrigan'll be gone before too long.

And I also want to do a devious, self-seving blood mage who wants to put Alistair on the throne because s/he thinks s/he can manipulate him. But of course, not willing to give any power to a rival as wily as Morrigan, s/he will refuse her ritual and see the death of Alistair and their precious political plans before the Archdemon. Can't wait.

If my character's too goody-goody or everything goes their way I find it too boring...

I always play good. I have tried to play evil but I just can't make myself do it. My kids laugh at me because I don't want to uhh hurt anyone's feelings. lol Out of curiosity tho because I wanted to see what party members would do if my approval was too low, I used the runscript approval thing to subtract enough approval to get them to hate me. Alistair was rather funny and I was overjoyed when Wynne left. In RL I work in ministry, so I'm used to "preachy" people, but seriously, Wynne is just sickening with her constant unwanted advice. At first I used to be nice to her so I could get her quest, but I don't even bother anymore. She's the *only* one of the companions I have no problem being nasty to...In fact I rather enjoy it. :P

I get a bit torn over whether to kill the cultists. I don't like that theyre a filthy cult. But they did offer Dragons Blood in good faith and you should not turn them down when your being offered that.

On the other hand anything to do with the chantry or that offensive garbage deserves to burn in the most tortuous, painful and fast way.

The dragon. I don't like killing dragons. But what kind of dragon has anything to do with that garbage. So I sometimes kill the High Dragon or sometimes leave it. Sometimes it is not worth the effort because it is too hard.

Maybe this time I will destroy the cultists and kill the dragon.

I am going to extract every bit of money I can from everyone this playthrough, lol.

I usually end up doing The Nature Of The Beast last because you need all the coersion filled out to get the werewolves.

I always side with Harrowmont. Belan is a total scumbag of the highest order.

There is one quest I never do and never will.

That fraghead idiot dwarf in the commons who betrayed his race for the chantry I don't go near even when walking past.
If there was a option to kill him painfully and violently, I would.

I always romance Zevran. :)

I have romanced all the companions except Leliana now. I tried with a female Noble Dwarven Warrior last time but I met Zevran and somehow cheated on her lol.
I gave up and went with Zevran. Leliana is the hardest person to romance. And the one I least want to.
I will try with a male noble dwarf maybe next time.
Maybe a male will be easier to romance her with.
Once I get the trophy for romancing her and romancing all companions I will romance Zevran only. I always end up with him at the end anyway, lol.

I hate Leliana. I only keep her in because she is a good archer. No good for anything else apart from stealing though. And you should keep as many companions in as possible.

I somehow managed to seduce Alistair last time. I was nice to him nothing more. But out of the blue he gives me a rose. Then some time later he asks if I want to sleep with him.
I said no, I am with Zevran.
Weird.

I try and be polite with every companion. Not wise to be otherwise.
But Wynne tests my patience.Especially when she talks about my romance with Zevran.

I keep all  the approval ratings maxed out if I can.

I make Alistair King always. Anora is a total scumbag. If there was a option to kill her painfully and fast I would.

I recruited Logain once last time for the trophy for all companions recuited but I killed him in the real playthrough. He deserves to die painfully and fast. He is a total scumbag.

I hate Isolde. She is a totally selfish, stupid, lying scumbag. No thought to the villagers and troops her lying and stupidity killed.
But tempting as it is I would not want to kill her for no reason so I do the circle ritual. The circle ritual is the best way.

Maybe I will kill her this time.

Duncan-like Neutrality, Sword and Board Human Noble.

Persuade merchant in Lothering
Save Redcliffe, Bevin is Hero, Bella owns Tavern (Lloyd died in battle).
Jowan does ritual, Morri goes in the Fade
Kill cultists, Kill dragon, Genetivi never makes it to the ruined temple (ashes never found).
Werewolves die, Hates Zathrian but a treaty is a treaty. (Griffin's Beak is fav looking weapon).
Bhelen is king, Branka is Golem fodder. Brother Burkel is a presumptuous fool. Dagna starts a new circle in Orzammar.
Mages are saved, a treaty is a treaty.
City Elves freed, Caladrius is beheaded by Zevran.
Alistair is king, Anora is queen, Loghain is warden.
Morri is my freak n ogbaby mama.
Architect is dead and all companions in DAA stay wardens.
I walk thru the mirror.

I sort of take the character, and at every major event, think about what that character would do. But my favourite character is a sword and shield human noble, cocky of his past, thinks he can get away with whatever, is in love with morrigan, walked through the mirror, let the mage in the alienage make me more powerful with city elves lives. killed the elves and zathrian, kept werewolves. alistair and anora rule together, kept loghain. i felt bhelen, although a tyrant, could be a stronger king. got the golems. went to circle to help with conner. lrft the people of redcliffe to die. I have yet to play awakening.

Unfortunately, I have yet to alter my major decisions:

* Always choose the mages, as they are much more powerful than Templars. Do I want the guards, or the ones that the guards fear?

* Always use the mages to save Conner.

* Always break the werewolf curse; save both sides.

* Always save the Ashes.

* Always side with Caradin cause Branka is a loon.

Other minor things may change depending upon my Warden design, but I cannot see why these should be altered, *thanks the Wiki for allowing me to read it however*

If the Archdemon had tried to bribe me to betray everyone at the end of DA:O I wouldn't have hesitated as long as there was a lot of sovereigns involved and I could still sleep with Morrigan to complete the TDR quest.

I've played the story out almost the same way three times, with some minor changes(three different character types though, AW Tank, SS Warrior Tank, DW Warrior). I can't bring myself to play an "evil" character no matter how much I want to.

Human Noble Warrior

-Always save the Mages, as Alistair said against anything but a mage he's just a guy in a metal suit.

-Always had Zathrian end the Werewolf curse. Keeps both sides alive.

-Put Harrowmont on the throne twice, Bhelen once. Harromont is the more well meaning of the two, but he isolates Orzammar in it's traditions. Bhelen is more progressive and wants to help Orzammar thrive.

-Branka always dies because she's insane. Oghren actually beheaded her in an execution move last time, which I thought was hilarious.

-Romanced Leliana twice and Morrigan once. Leliana is the "good girl" and she looked incredibly pretty in the Sacred Ashes trailer, but I find Morrigan's romance far more plot-relevant. Especially after I played Witch Hunt.

-Speaking of Witch Hunt, I walked through the mirror with Morrigan.

-Dueled and Killed Loghain twice, had Alistair do it once.

-Put Alistair on the throne by himself twice and once with Anora as Queen.

-Always kill the cultists and allow Genitivi to lead expeditions to the ashes, but not before warning him that if anything bad happens because of it, it's his fault.

-Always used the mages to save Connor.

-Always slept with Morrigan before the final battle. She's beautiful and she's offering you a way out without strings attached (unless you want them attached), so why not?

Every other choice in the game has been a pretty static decision for me; if it follows the generally "good" pattern, I've chosen it.
