This staff throws a wrench into my plans. I don't know if I want to be a Mage or not. I'm usually a 2h Warrior whenever possible but this might advance my Melee-Mage playthrough foward.

As I said at the start of the thread.... PATIENCE!!!! These only started getting emailed out yesterday late afternoon. IT will likely take a few days for everyone to get theirs (I am glad to see thay are coming in over the weekend as that will remove some of the wait), but the Newsletters usually take 3-5 days for mailout, so it could still be a number of days beforr you get yours.

Least you know we are so excited for DA2 we'll burn things down for a single weapon

This seems to be a pretty MAJOR weapon, it would really suck to miss out on it, it should be made available as a DLC afterword's for people who don't get it, seems almost like its THE weapon for Hawke as you use it in all the advertisements so it would be weird for everyone not to get it eventually.

I'm hoping its design is unique too, as in there isn't a retextured lesser/better copy somewhere else in the game,like most weapons in the last game.

I wonder if Hawke's armor will be a special item, too? I mean, they said the armor and weapon would be in game, and here we are with our Staff of Parthalan (ok, I'm not with the staff. spoony devs).



But I'm not sure if they said that about the weapon, could be just about the armor.

 I only wonder if that mail would be subjected to region filtering like the others <_<
I've got Destiny newsletter, but not the WH, LS or Golems one - apparently because these DLC are not available for Eastern Europe versions.
...even though I have UK version of the game, imported for this very reason. Oh well, time will tell.

Ok, so my problem is even though I have signed up for the newsletter my email address has changed so I probably won't receive the code. At launch will it be possible to buy the staff as DLC? If it is the swordstaff than I'd be happy to as long as it doesn't cost as much as the game itself.

The idea for a sowrd-staff makes me wonder of which class I want to be first.It was pretty cool in the trailer.

Stupid question but, for those of us who want to re-sign up for the newsletter, what is the link? I don't see it on the DA 2 page, all I see is that I've already "liked" the page on FB.

And as someone who was planning to play a rogue first this certainly has me reconsidering my options. Granted, we have like five months until DA 2 launches so there's no reason to decide quite yet.

Go to http://accounts.biow...ccount/nsl.html and sign up for the dragon age newsletter, If you do it now you should get the staff later in october or early november.

I have gotten the DA2 trailer newsletter in august, yet it says I'm not signed up, haha.

They said it might take up to 3 days to send all the newsletters out, so be patient!

No,no,no, no NO!  I was planning on a warrior character for my "Canon" playthrough (continuing from my mage, I felt like I needed something besides a mage)  But now Bioware gives me this!  Damn you Bioware!  Why do you have to make my decisions so difficult!?!?!
