From the email:
"Get a friend to sign up to receive Dragon Age e-mail communications during the month of October they will receive a code for the Staff of Parthalan. All they need to do is sign up here:" and then it links to the original DA2 website.

I was in the site of the game, but I can't find the place to sign up to receive the e-mails..again :?

Agreed but if it's use in the trailer has any actual meaning it appears to be a multi-functional staff. As to say that while it may indeed be a magical staff it is quite sturdy and has a very pointy end .

(Meant to quote you in there LP)

I mean, in the trailer, we see Mike Hawke using it more as a melee weapon than a magic weapon.

Which is why I hope that-

A. Polearms are a class of weapons in DA2
B. This Polearm can be used by Warriors

If not, I will be sad. But I'll give it to Beth, or whichever Mage I bring with me. If its a good enough weapon, that is. If it sucks, well then forget it.

Keep the email in your saved folder and you'll be fine.

Or give me the code. I'll hold it for you.

Hmm, I signed up for the newsletter back in August (I think), then twice more at PAX just to be safe. Have yet to get any kind of Dragon Age 2 correspondence though, just a Witch Hunt announcement e-mail. Hmm. :?

If it makes you feel better, Bioware loves you.

That does make me feel better. <3

But not as good as a nifty staff would. :(

If I recall correctly, there was a browser issue. If you try with a different one you might see it.

It's because you are already signed in.
It doesn't show for me too, I signed right after the promo started and I got nothing yet.

Let me get this straight.

You'd rather have an item for a game you've already beaten multiple times whose sequel will release in half a year?

I'd headdesk so hard right now, but I'm lying down on my bed with my MacBook Pro on my tummy. Headdesking is impossible, thus I must proceed to?

*FACEPALM*

Take what you can get. If you plan on getting DA2, I'd expect you to be happier its an item for that.

Ahh, well then it sucks to be in your position.

After Witch Hunt, you should've known there'd be no more stuff for Origins.

Time for everyone to move on.
