Awesome, glad these have finally made it out.

This is the "epic in game weapon" that we advertised during this past summer's convention season. Anyone who signed up for the newsletter at a Con, signed up while the Con was on, or was already signed up for the newsletter should be getting this. We did have a small technical issue that delayed us in sending them out, but it looks like that has been fixed so the codes are on the way.

If you have not gotten yours yet, do not panic! We have a lot of people signed up for the newsletter, so it will take days to get them all sent (and I am not usre if it happens on the weekend or not). So please give it a few days before worrying you did not get it.

Hope you enjoy wielding the "Staff of Pathalan"!

EDIT: (to any bioware guys) can you tell us whether or not we are basically screwed if we used the code already? and does it matter what e-mail the code came from? the only code i have left is not for my main bioware e-mail account, with DA:O and ME2 on it

"Parthalan" sounds an awful lot like "Arlathan", no? That combined with the whole thing about how Hawke's mage relative fought for the mage's freedom.....yeah thats some foreshadowing me thinks.

Parlathan does indeed sound like Arlathan. Though as a stout believer in having mine enemies bring their pretty face to my axe, I don't think I'll get much use out the staff (unfortunately) first playthrough as a Warrior.



Unless ofc we can get other legendry items via dlc, promotions and stuff (I totally want a kickass Mace named 'Windu' XD )

Now why would you go and do a silly thing like that? The game isn't out until March. What did you think woudl happen?

hmm......interesting..........I wonder if this staff is the staff-sword seen in the promo art and trailer.



I'm hoping that Warrior and Rogue Hawkes will also get an epic weapon that's tied to Hawke family lore.



The mention that magic runs through the Hawke bloodline is interesting, though.



If there's any excuse, story wise, for a character be a hybrid class, then this would be it.



So, here's hoping to Arcane Warrior and Arcane Rogue!!
