I figured it should be tied to my social site account, right? If I try to redeem it again, it says clearly that the code is already redeemed, so it should be attached to the account somewhere...

Hi Addiction. You know EVERYONE who signed up for the newsletter got this, right? Not just Facebook or Twitter users (also not to mention that by joining us here you ALREADY signed up for a Social platform, but I digress). So if you have an account here, you could have signed up for the newsletter, got the item and still felt self righteous about not compromising your morals.

I havnt signed up and i don't want to. I don't want the item. I want to play the exact Vanilla game.



I hate when you start a brand new game only to find blood dragon armour, blightblood, battledress of the provoceuteer, and all those amulets and other stuff from witch hunt and golems, and find that you cant even equip most of them because your too low. How did your PC get them, he/she isn't even a Warden yet! I don't like it.



The first thing i do is destroy them, all of them, except blood dragon armour.

It is certainly a sword-staff - Bioware has said as much during the PAX event. Yes, there is a real world equivalent, the Swedish svardstav. (I'm referring to the one in the trailer)

REDEEMING YOUR CODE NOW IS OK!  We do not expect you to have to hang on to the email until launch.

However, it might only appear on your list of DLC here on social closer to DA2 launch.  Unless you got an error when redeeming, the item is there and we'll roll that out on to your list of content as soon as we can so you can confirm.

The code is redeemed on an account here on social.  If you have more than 1 account on social then first login to the one you want the staff for - the code has 1 use only, and once redeemed on one account it will not be usable on another. 

Particularly important for console players - If you have more than 1 social account, ensure your gamertag or psn account name is correctly linked to the account you are redeeming the code against (social shows the gamertag/psn account name at the top of the redeem page). 

And for those still waiting for the item - as Chris mentioned, it may still take a few days to send the email to everyone, please be patient and give it a few more days.

Australia? Try Brazil. I'll probably just receive my e-mail after Dragon Age 3 be launched.

Okay wait a tick here. How come I didn't get the code when I signed up for the Like and newsletter before the second waves of codes were supposed to be mailed but my friend got it when she signed up at the exact time of the second wave?
