I just started play, and all of the main characters have this wierd scarring stuff on their cheeks. They look like severe burn scars, and appear on Sheppard, Miranda, Taylor, Illusive Man so far. Sheppard even has this "V" on his forhead, and when he is in casual dress, he's got these pronounced bumps on the backs of his arms. All characters also have issues with patches of a sort of pixilation on their necks and hands.
This is something new. I had the game installed a few weeks back and played it all the way through, and the graphics were perfect, but I had a drive failure and had to reinstall XP. I purchased a new copy of ME2 (having given my old copy to a friend), and now I have this problem.
Does anyone know what's causing this?
Thanks ahead of time.

I should have posted pics to begin with. Here they are.
Here's a composite:

...and here are close-ups:

As you can see they all have this wierd "scarring" on their cheaks and issues with the rendering of their necks and fourheads.
I just upgraded my video drivers but that did not solve the problem.

DirectX 9.0c
Intel Core 2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13GHz, 1.98 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 7950GT
Integrated RAMDAC
Memory: 512 MB
Bios Information: Version 5.71.22.42.06

PCI Slot 11 (PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0
IRQ: 16
Bus: PCI Express x16

Anyone have any ideas?

Wow, did you even read the thread linked there?
Same problem.. and the solution is NOT updating your drivers. It's rolling back to an older driver.

Hey Crunchy-
I didn't realize your "?" was a link.
Got it! It took me a couple of attempts at installation, but I was able to get things right. Thanks for the guidance Crunchy. Yer a gud man.

thanks. I was fighting with the same issue. I had the NVIDIA Driver 260.
I'll do a roll back before 257.
