I made a nifty looking character in ME2 I wanted to get the look of that character ME. Has anybody figured out how this could be done?

You have to translate the code into slider increments, then set all the sliders yourself in ME1. But yes, it can be done.

I was thinking more along the lines of editing my save file?

I have yet to hear of anyone editing a ME1 save file, I'm afraid. Maybe I'm behind the times,but there certainly isn't an editor like the gibbed for ME2.
