I lost Legion, Grunt, and Mordin the first time I did the suicide mission. I had gotten all the upgrades for the ship and everyone's loyalty missions it's just I made bad decisions on who would lead the fire teams.

Left Grunt swimming happily in his tank, lost Jacob and Jack (not unexpected, since they were both unloyal) and Samara was taken by the swarms, which didn't exactely improve my relationship to Thane and his so called "Biotic Abilities".

No body died in my 1st three play throughs, Tali died when I could not pick the Renegade answer in her fight with Legion.

First playthrough, the entire crew except Chakwas, Legion and I think someone else. I can't remember who. It was because I let the wrong person lead the 2nd team and didn't know you'd lose your crew if you did a few missions beforehand.

Only Kelly Now I know how to save all the crew (most of the crew). Do everyone's loyalty missions (of course upgrade your ship and yourself fully) before going to the reaper iff mission. After that mission immediately go throught he Omega-4 Relay.

You could do Legion's loyalty mission right after the IFF mission and still save all the crew, so you don't have to go directly as long as you talk to Legion before going anywhere after the IFF mission.

Jack died in my first playthrough. didnt do loyalty mission for her didnt really care tho.

IIRC, if you have maxed out squad & loyalty before IFF and you don't awaken Legion, you automatically get your crew kidnapped next time you access the galaxy map - EDI actually prompts you saying that IFF is ready for testing. However if you then awaken Legion before actually accessing the galaxy map, you have a window to finish his/its Loyalty mission before the Colllectors pounce onto SR2.

I got out lucky on my first try - I had full loyalty and ship upgrades on my first game and made all the right choices for each part of the SM - then I picked Samara & Miranda (Reeve & Warp vs Colectors' Barriers) for my final squad so my strong squadmates kept the rest alive. Nowadays, I replace Miranda with Legion for the Widow & Drone to tie up Harbringer - and also to have Samara in black on one hand and Legion in silver on the other.

Grunt. I sent him as a team leader, figuring a pure Krogan wouldn't do too badly (plus one of his evolutions is called Krogan Warlord). He had a great line before he died, although it was somewhat ridiculous that he was killed by a single bullet.



Looking back, I didn't really think that one through. Actually, I didn't think about any of the choices too hard. I assumed the first time there would be some randomness in who lived and who died.



I was actually disappointed to find out how easy it was to save everyone once you figured out the right combinations. Took a lot of the bite out of the so-called "Suicide Mission".

I didn't keep this save, but Jack died in all my saves except one (the one I made for the "no one left behind" success).

Not me.  She was just a little to into Kaidan for my tastes.  She had to be smoothied.

But in my first playthrough she wasn't.  It was Kelly since I lost the crew.  I didn't realize that there was a time component in going through the relay since there never was in any other RPG that I had previously played.  So that was kinda a surprise--which is neat in a way.

I also lost Legion and Zaeed.
