On my first playthrough, I lost Miranda and Thane. Miranda wasn't loyal and Thane got a rocket to the face (which kinda freaked me out cuz the stupid rocket came outta nowhere).

I lost Zaeed on my first. I had him lead the distraction team because I thought he'd be distracting. I've interpreted it as him being too stupid to get into cover so that when he got shot at the end he had no armor or shields left to take the hit. Can't say I miss him.

Jack because i dislike her and Mordin because he's well, isn't very good in combat situations.

I only lost legion after sending it through the shaft at the beginning, even though it was loyal... I was so upset...

How did you regain Miranda's loyalty (assuming that you had it once, before her fight with Jack, and then lost it)??
So Miranda was loyal in the final mission, and everybody else, too, and yet Legion suffered the same fate for you as he did for me in that shaft mission (with Miranda's loyalty shattered)?

I lost the crew, but not the team, by the time I went to reaper IFF I had already done all loyalty quests, and had enough paragon to end both fights favorably for both chars. Was pissed off, about the crew cause I had 5-10 random side anomaly missions left after the IFF, and as a person who loves to pass everything prior to final mission I went and did those...

And as for suicide mission Tali was tech expert, and I was bloody fast about poison, while Garrus was my fire team commander both times (hey, if a guy was able to ****** off and **** with biggest mercs company on omega and have a team that would still be able to avoid them that there wasn't treason involved, then that is a guy that can lead a team into the base). I considered Samara to be the strongest defense biotic (beeing careful of every word that happens in the game does assist in such things) so there was no problem with suicide mission.

I only later found out that Legion is best choise for tech cause he can't die from poison, but I was fast enough to save Tali so no biggy.

Then I figured I lost the crew, and loaded a save (which thank God I had prior to reaper IFF) and done the missions first, and then went for IFF.

You have to regain her loyalty through an extremely difficult persuasion option when you try and talk with her again. But either your paragon or renegade bars has to be completely filled

Nobody died on my first playthrough although I lost Miranda's loyalty. I can't stand her even on my umpteenth playthrough so I never side with her (although now I know how to get her loyalty back). My first time through the game took me about 100 hours though, I explored and mined every planet, dialogue option, and side mission and did all the DLC except LoTSB before going to get the Reaper IFF and doing Legions mission.

i wont play this in ME3 ^^ i wouldnt try even ^^ well ... i Love miri:wub: so if she only survive i dont mind ^^

Ooh so far back... on my first playthrough i lose half the crew (did jack loyalty quest after that) and miranda died (I sided with jack earlier - lacked points to choose)
She died holding the line.

Everyone else was loyal
Had Grunt and mordin fighting the terminator with me.

Nobody died on my first playthrough - the game made it all far too easy and I'm kinda surprised anybody lost anyone (not trying to put anyone down here but the game was made so easy with all the pop-ups and with Kelly telling you who wanted to speak to you etc). I think this is one of the reasons I felt let down by ME2, everything was made just far too easy and far too obvious.

TBH i almost selected him as well... but then i thought tali as i wanted mordin on my squad.

I always saw him as more of a biological-science smart sort of person, not so much with machines as with genes, so I never sent him into the shaft

I wonder if the game difficulty setting - apart from loyalty strength - matters for the chances of the team members surviving the "suicide mission". Anybody knows?
