I can't remember for the life of me where I picked up this description of Illium - that it was just Omega but with more money... I know Jack mentions that Illium has money, lots of money, but I'm sure there is a reference to the more "white collar crime" aspects of Illium and this is compared with Omega.
Can anyone enlighten me? Was it another squaddie who says something? Or did I pick it up in one of the books or comics?

At Liara's apartment Tela Vasir says "Illium is just Omega with expensive shoes." Is that it?

Garrus also mentions that Illium can be just as dangerous as Omega despite the prettier surface.

I'm pretty sure the asari that greets you when you first arrive mentions it too.
