Yeah the Fade section could have used some work. And by some I mean a complete facelift.

Really? What would you have changed? I liked it a lot...and I know a lot of people hated it. I'm not sure why.

Blood Mages are simply humans that can wield magic powered by blood. This is not what i want. Perhaps Blood Magic plays apart, perhaps he (or she) also happens to be a blood mage, but he has to be a monster. A beast with a curse that is able to spread. And he sustains himself/grows more powerful by drinking blood (perhaps this is where the blood magic comes in).

I really hate the idea of a "sexy" and "cool" vampire in the Dragon Age universe.

I'm fine with the idea of a monster that can (somehow) charm people into willingly doing it's bidding, or allowing it to feed on their blood/life or whatever .. but it should BE a monster, and as others have said .. desire demons already exist in the DA universe. They are the DA vampire.

We don't need sexy twenty-something humans caked with make-up.

"Pretty" vampires are way overdone at the moment.

I'm sticking with what I said before. As long as they make it worth while, and not some modern day pussified version of the lore, and it fits in as a sidequest, and that resources aren't unnecessarily spent on this, then make it happen. If it's going to be there just be thrown in the final product then no. I guess it's safe to say it won't happen unless the throw a spin on the already existing lore of Thedas.

I think you're just too stuck on the specifics of it rather than the concept of it. Bottom line: I don't think Bioware will add something like that in it's entirety without changing it enough to apply to the rules of Dragon Age.

I sustain myself by eating flesh dont see what the big deal about blood is, we've got vast factories where animals are slaughtered on production lines. Makes the vampire thing seem kind of prissy.

You know we saw hunger abominations right?

Because I'm pretty sure that's the closest that DA is going to get to a vampire.

The devs have already said that the closest thing DA has to vampires are mortals possesed by Hunger Demons. While, yes, they could backtrack on that to appease people who think there needs to be sexy cool ass vampires in every thing, it would suck about a million d!cks and there's no real need for it. Vampires are way played out at the moment.

Sexy doesnt have to be modern and in there twenties. Think of Van Hellsing, i reckon they did that vampire (dracula) really well. Old, but powerfull and charming. In Vampire lore, they enthrall any one in there presence, they are attractive and seductive, even if they are old.

Of coarse, vampires can be a monster as well, but they can also be sexy and charming (i also dislike Twilight)

And Bioware is free to do it however they like.:)

You do realize Van Helsing is one of the worst films ever made though, right? Not like one of the worst vampire films, just one of the worst, ever, period.

Actually Twilight is a Guns'n'Roses reference, so I kinda doubt it.

I also realize that it might be too late for DA2, but this can be for DA3 as well.

Lord Gaider said there are no vampires in Thedas.

Edit:  Closest we get to that is a hunger abomination. Who pretty much eats everything.

Sometimes when I feeling sad and blue, I will find the final scene from that movie on Youtube to cheer me up. Where Hugh Jackman cries *a single tear* as he burns the body of his dead lover, and the smoke in the sky turns into her face and blows him a kiss goodbye.

Comedy effin' gold.

But lets stop before I start remembering the plot holes.... oh god, the plot holes.

There are ways to get around this, Bioware can come up with something.

That really depends on what you mean by vampire "lore". If you look at the old slavic myths about vampires, attractive and seductive really couldn't be further from the truth.
