@Knight
I do not see how you would put that on a Qunari
You're not using your imagination.
Imagine the Qunari sideways.

I agree
Horns do not exist in real life. They are make believe.
Therefor adding Horns is like adding Vampires.
I don't know where you would add them on a Qunari, but I don't think it would be impossible.
Now excause me but how do you imagine adding vampires on a qunari?

Its just some people said there was some lore that would get retconned. Bioware retconned the Qunari, so that proves theyre capable of overthrowing a small bit of lore for the sake of something potentially awesome. They dont even have to retcon, they can think up of a reason, its Bioware.

I would hate to see all forms of vampires removed from fiction, movies and games, just because people hate the teen drama vampires so much; that they have forever given ownership of the word vampire, to the author of Twilight.

Sorry but I really don't understand why you need the whole cap and bat thing. DA has vampires in several different forms. It's just that none of them are called vampires. They're blood mages, demons, abominations, ghouls ect. Is the name really that important?
Or is it because the werewolves so closely resembled their counterparts in other games/movies/lore?
Never seen/read Twilight so that isn't really influencing my view. I'm just not very keen on having every stereotypical monster imported in every setting "because they're cool!" since this blurs differences between them and if overdone it feels like the writers are lacking imagination to come up with concepts of their own. DA already has plenty of stock elements as it is turning it further into a pastiche... just meh.Kileyan wrote...

Toolbot, it is true. I'm a big fan of vampires, Vampire: The Masquerade was damn near all I did or thought about for close to 7 years, but in the age of Twilight, I am shamed into staying clear of all vampire books/films/games/erotic massages. It just needs to die for a few years so someone can bring them back in a cool way. Right now they are oversaturated AND mostly crap, a bad combo for any genre.
It is not that I don't actually like vampires, just that Twilight is so pervasive, any vampire conversation has to start with the caveat "but not like that sparkling sissies crap in Twilight".

I want a weredragon.
Or a wereMaker. Imagine that.
The idea of vampires in Dragon Age doesn't sound horribly out of place. BioWare could convincingly blend them in if they so wished. That said, I'm worried about adding every single classic fantasy element into Dragon Age and turning it into a Fereldan style lamb soup which lacks novelty. It may sound cool at first to see our favorite fantastic creatures and other concepts in our favorite games, but there has to be a line to draw somewhere, otherwise it turns into "gee, yet another game with vampires, werewolves, sorcerers, orcs, Borgs and lightsabers." Werewolves and treants of Brecilian Forest had a somewhat acceptable excuse, but there's no need to go overboard.
Goes without saying that I mean no disrespect to original poster's wishes.

And Oblivion had pretty good vampires.

They could perhaps serve as replacement for DAO mage hats.Onyx Jaguar wrote...
Vampire appendages would be indeed quite awesome

Actualy I have nothing against the idea. Vampires are one of the more decent mythical creatures if we forget about the recent fabulously sparkling ones.

your argument is invalid... it's also known that Bathesda has a vampire fetish.

But they're already in the game. They're just not called vampires.
