ohhh, october is a nice month, my favourite, actually hahaha, it's my birthday month! and I won't play dragon age until december, so I hate november ¬¬

As for me, I'm hanging in there so far. We're closing in on November 3. A pity DA is unlikely to be at my doorstep that quickly. I wasn't willing to pay a huge shipping cost for overnight delivery. CE box + Warden's Keep is expensive enough as is. Fortunately I'm extremely busy at work this week; which should distract me enough until then.

How do I feel about Dragon Age: Origins coming out in nine days? Nothing. It bothers me, this lack of emotion. I'd hoped I'd be excited, nervous, whatever. Instead, I can't seem to care.

I know I ought to pre-order it. I want to pre-order the collector edition. In fact, at the beginning of every year I sit down, list the games I want to buy and budget for them. As a large number of games have been moved into 2010, Dragon Age is one of the few on my list but… why bother? I don’t even know if I want to play the game.

After all this time waiting, I can’t seem to care at all.

Edit: Actually, I'm a bit irritated. I'm the admin of the community wiki, and I know that come Novermber 3rd I can look forward to an onrush of new members, articles, and information.

Yup, I know how you feel. I'm having a hard time getting enthused about games in general actually. Thought both Ghostbusters and Batman look interesting, and I'll probably pick them up eventually, but if I don't, that's fine too. DA:O is the same thing. Used to be a Bioware game was an automatic high, but not anymore. I'm sure I'll pick it up eventually, once I've read enough opinions on the game from people I trust. Until then, not excited about it at all.

I am getting excited about the new GTA IV release next Thursday though, so maybe I'm not totally lost as a gamer.

I can manage a twang of excitement for DA:O, sure. But I'm much more frantic about finding steady employment instead of freelance contracts, so the forward march of time isn't something I feel needs to be rushed in my life. On the other hand there's also the contest I'm in and I won't know the results till the 30th (Shameless plug: vote for me and never stop) so I'll be glad to see the building anxiety from that go. But yes, all that aside, I'll be happy to get my copy of Dragon Age.



Oh, and in general I just hate October for being so cold and knowing it's only signaling the frozen times still to come. Oy.

Mm, well temperature is personal. For example, my perfect temperature is 36C - 40C (so living in Canada - much as I love it - is fate having a little laugh at me). What's bearable to you?

I have to agree with Maria here. October signals the arrival of cooler weather.

It also contains one of my favorite holidays.

I can wait until the DA:O release date. I am looking forward to it to be sure, but it will come when it comes.

Indeed. It is long, cold, wet, dark and overall bad. I can say the same about November-April. However. Now I will have DA to light up the grim days until January. Then ME2 comes
