The "hello moderators" seekrit thread is showing up in the recent forum posts list. It probably shouldn't do that :)

Clicking on it just gives the message "You requested an invalid category" though.

can you please post a screenshot and the URL of the forum post that shouldn't be showing up?

Thanks!

I'm also seeing comments from private forums on my recent activity list: http://www.aherdofon...s/forumpost.jpg

I'm not part of this project but the first part of the comments are showing up. The link (BT 1: SVN & Wiki) points to http://social.biowar...cussion/34/254/ but gives me a "You do not have sufficient privileges to view this topic." error.

Viewing the discussion board for the BT1 project is restricted to Project Members only (in fact everything except search is set up this way) so having these extracts appear in the news feeds for non-members is a major bug.

I had been wondering about this because I can see comments from the Feline Fuelled Games group however I put this down to the fact that they were possibly more open than we were.

have previously asked for an explanation of the various privacy setting so that we can set the groups/projects up correctly: not knowing what a particular setting does means were are just guessing and, it would appear, getting it wrong.  It would also appear that there are insufficient controls available to the group/project owners: not only do we need to be able specifiy who can access resources but also which resources post to the newsfeeds.

The Feline board is currently very open, we have nothing to hide:) so that everyone can see. We can isolate each project separately ;)

The forums permissions have been fixed in the latest site build - we're still working on the group discussion perms fix.

The group discussion permissions have been updated - someone should please confirm that things private posts are no longer appearing in the public status feed or for users who are not allowed to see them by the group perms.

Nimue_KV has advised me she could see my "project privacy" post so project discussions are exposed. It looks like the group discussions might be fixed though.

The current behaviour is a bit odd. If I go to 'Groups' and select a private group, I get "Private Group

You do not have permission to view this group." Which is just fine.

However, in "recent activity", I see posts like "AndarianTD posted in the project discussion topic "BT1: Conventions":, but if I click on the topic link I get "An Error Has Occurred

You do not have sufficient privileges to view this topic." However, I will still see the first few lines of the post - I really think it should not show up at all in my "recent activity".

Also, the project is not private, so I can for example look at http://social.biowar...ect/31/#gallery (Mage of the Blood gallery). Is this behaviour intentional?

Certainly not on our part the Group and Project are both meant to be members only for everything. Jesse asked me for the settings last night so that he can debug this.
