SPOILER
The one disappointment possibly is that Morrigan appears only at the very end. Still, the choices you have then are significant and offer one sort of closure. The new companions are not super deep but are pretty fun and well written.

Whether it will influence DA2 (or anything after) -- well, there is no post-epilogue save for this DlC.
However, supposedly there was supposed to be one - another bug? - which the patch will fix.
You can make a fairly monumental choice, whether it will really ever affect anything past this point, ... well, again, seems unclear. The Warden is not coming back in DA2, but we don't know if s/he's never coming back.
I do think whatever Morrigan is up to, which you will only get hints about, may relate to events in DA2 (even if she doesn't appear), and there certainly is some strong foreshadowing she will be back.
I reiterate, there is no evidence where the Eluvian portal goes is one-way, just that there's no way back through the particular portal you find.
A lot seems to be setting up for DA2, but other things, to things that may come after, if there is an after.

But of all the DLC's this one actually has a choice at the end which will come into play down the road, since its all but a given I think that Morrigan returns, maybe not in DA2, but DA3. The flags are definitely there with respect to how you deal with Morrigan at the end of this DLC and the PC patch gives you the post-game save.
So I'll just say again, of all the DLC's, this one has the biggest choice to be imported which could be picked up again down the road. Unless you want the default BioWare choice for WH going forward, I'd pick up this DLC, especially if romanced Morrigan. I think the key to enjoying WH is to have a character that romanced Morrigan and to not expect much in terms of answers.

Wait until EA fixes this DLC properly to buy it. The ending sucks as is but I'm sure that's just a result of rushing the product to market before it is actually done (yet another example). Once it is patched and the ending shored up I'll bet it's worth doing.
Agreed right now I would say it is not worth it. I was looking forward to something better than it was. It seemed rushed and lacking any depth.

The only thing we know about Morrigan's future really is...Brockololly wrote...
Thats the thing though- beyond Morrigan hinting at Flemeth, it doesn't even seem like a tease for DA2, more like DA3 and beyond or whenever Morrigan comes back.
She is coming back in MySims Sky Hero right now.

I don't think that's quite true, given the references to refugees in Kirkwall, the Chantry Seekers and the supposedly more prominent role Dalish elves will have in DA2. Morrigan is certainly the "star" of this DLC, but if you pay close attention there are other interesting details as well.

Also, it's really, really cheap. $5 (Australian) sure beats the usual $15 that most other developers charge for their DLC!

You get some goodies too.
To me it just seems as if BioWare made Morrigan's story into a cheap DLC to get most of us on board the DA2 ship faster.

For those that are looking for epic closure for either her or the Warden; probably need to keep looking.

It is only relevant if you romanced Morrigan or participated in the dark ritual. If you have a large amount of characters or your canon character did either of the above then yea probably. If your similar in that you only 2 characters that romanced and participated in the dark ritual out of 22, and your canon character chose to minimize Morrigan's role in the story, then not so much. I did buy it because i was told i was able to kill Morrigan, with out ruining anything for you, it was a bit anticlimactic. Supposedly you should be able to import the warden's decision set to influence the DA2 world but so far the epiloge saves have been a bit sketchy.

You really take game character hate, to a whole new level.

For me, it broke the continuity even more -- they do not have the timeline straight at ALL, even on the map. Does it happen one year after Origins as it says on the product page, 2 years after the mother dies as it says if you mouse over Amaranthine, or years after the Archdemon dies as it says if you mouse over Denerim?
It left more questions than it answered. And combat is so ridiculously easy... I played through it twice. One of the characters I imported ended up not having armor (NBD as she had been wearing modded armor) and was, ummm, level 23 I believe. There was no armor in the game to be had (rogue), yet I still easily beat it on nightmare, naked.
