I'm using dds converter 2 and it's frankly not working very well. one problem i'm having is a "size is not the power of 2" problem and other things that go wrong because of too complex filenames etc. it's not a very reliable program. Is there any other program that's good for doing this? preferably free.

The size error is presumably with an icon file? Are you using NVDXT in the \\tools\\ResourceBuild\\Processors\\ folder? That will work (despite the protest) using NVDXT -u8888 -nomipmap -file filename
