Yay, that really made my day....

Quote from the EuroGamer Expo thread by Mike:

A lot of people have commented on that, especially after the gameplay video leaked, and so I did some digging. Since that demo "shipped," we've slowed down two-handers a bit. No, not to Origins slow (I personally found those anims kind of painful to watch. Who would enter into combat with a sword they couldn't swing effectively?), but we've changed what's called "the cancel window," so that you perform more of the swing before you can blend into another.

Quite pleased with the overall effect. That timing change and new audio have given two-handers quite a bit more heft.

I know it's there in the thread but lost of people might miss it, so to people who thought feedback doesn't change a thing, here it is.

I can only say that I love how the devs interact with us on the forums, I love you DA2 devs .

Just so you folks don't go thinking it's down to swinging a hunk of rebar, it's still pretty damn fast. So if you hate the speed and agility or jumping, none of that has changed. I'm unapologetic about special moves actually looking special. But the basic attacks are retimed, so enjoy.

And here I was happy for a moment. Good thing that got nipped in the bud.

Would you rather be minorly disappointed now, or build up the changes until they are right back to Origins and then be rabidly pissed off at me for lying to you?

Hey, friendly reminder - disagreeing with a poster can be done in a polite and reasonable fashion. Personal insults and ad hominem attacks are in no way acceptable.
