Just so you folks don't go thinking it's down to swinging a hunk of rebar, it's still pretty damn fast. So if you hate the speed and agility or jumping, none of that has changed. I'm unapologetic about special moves actually looking special. But the basic attacks are retimed, so enjoy.

good to know warriors won't look like they're trying to swing a lampost... in winter.

I think there are about 1000 puns I can conjure up using those.

And yet that 2 hander is about the size of a hunk of rebar....

My concern was simply with the basic attacks being too floaty and fast with the 2 hander.

So long as special doesn't turn into silly.

I would also say that for me some of the best looking talents were the simplest.  Shield Bash, or Below the Belt for example.

A special move doesn't need to be going  1000 miles an hour with flame trails and and sparkles everywhere. The best moves are often the simplest ones.

When I saw the title I thought you were referring to the speed of Origins and I thought "How could they slow that down even more?" But now I realize your talking about the demo speed being slowed down. Yay.

This is why we should let BioWare release videos at their own pace.

I'd love to know what you mean by "special" in this context.

That's it, basic attacks, I didn't mind the speed of "Mighty Blow" or "Knockback" as an example, but basic attack were just too fast, thanks for working on them :)

Well the ultimate special attack will trigger a glitterball to descend from the heavens, all the clothes to drop from the ladies and all the men to be engulfed by white jumpsuits and then the sexy party begins. That is what is meant by special and I challenge anybody to say it aint.

First we don't hate some fancy moves and stuff like that, it just pushing it to the limits.

Usually fantasy adventures gendres, not allways, it's about ordinary gifted person who does something allmost impossible and become hero. Now my point is that you are pushing the limit with character abilities where player starts question, am I gifted person or superhero with superpowers.  Gendre is moved so that it's hard to know is this fantasy adventure game or superhero game in fantasy setting. Meaning when special can becomes too normal and create impression what isn't anymore believable just from hero perpective. Just something to think about.

I hear there's a sword & shield talent that summons a dragon from behind the moon.

And here I was happy for a moment. Good thing that got nipped in the bud.

Would you rather be minorly disappointed now, or build up the changes until they are right back to Origins and then be rabidly pissed off at me for lying to you?

Maybe not on topic but does DA2 feature charging or at least sprinting? I hated the way you walked into combat in DA:O. Not to mention chasing enemies.
