Well, they've said that easy will be easier at least (normal too IIRC). I think that is to accommodate the non-pausing.
It's official, 2 handed warrior animations have been slowed down

It doesn't really, aside from how silly it looks swinging a sword that size at the speed of light.

I'm pretty sure that that isn't finalized yet. Not that it isn't possible, but I hope it's at least on Hard and NIghtmare. This is the ONE issue where I truly wish there was a toggle since some people love friendly fire and others don't care for it. Anyway, they may still retain it.

Sure, aside from actual special attacks/skills will still be most likely be ridiculous looking. I s'pose though thats somewhat of a compromise. Gotta cater to that target demographic doncha know.

Wait they really said that? Whats wrong with having a toggle for it? Thats always worked in the past.

The oppinions of fans who never held a real weapon in hand are worthless.
Not everyone's interested in being an SCA nerd, you know? Now run off and play in your medieval fair.
Not everyone who wields a sword is a "SCA nerd" or plays arund in a "medieval fair", there are martial arts, knightly orders, and weapon smiths even today you know.
And I agree that too many complained over how big the sword was or how unrealistic it or its speed were despite them most likely not even once touching a real sword not to mention knowing how to use it. "Modern myths" are born out of lack of knowledge, this is why many believe that in full plate a person can't stand up from on his own feet once he falls, or that in such an armor your mobility drasticly diminishes.
Anyway, this is a fantasy game, I hate it when people try to punch too much reality into this genre, the size/form/weight of every item in fantasy can be simply explained by having different, non-Earth materials easily.

This.
People who have trained and worked with weapons of this sort know more about the actual mechanics of fighting than shut-ins who just whine about "realism".
Not saying everyones opinion of what should be in a game isn't valid, of course everyone's opinion matters...to themselves. But I'm just saying that if people who never swung a bastard sword or arming sword try to talk realism to people who do "use" these weapons in their lives who have trained with them is some way obviously common sense dictates to go with the person who actually has experience in real life about how it works.

Nonsense, we're not going to stop the Reaperspawndragons with an army of nice combat androids. Now, go be a good prototype and test your flamethrower on an orphanage.
And make sure the monitoring equipment is active this time. We can't just keep burning down orphanages without getting any data. Eventually, we'd run out of orphans.
Also, the servo runtimes for wielding your tesla greatsword have been adjusted. Try out the new speed on some Renaissance Fair nerds.

This. As an Indian Prince myself and a descendant of Sikh and Rajput Warrior Kings, its pretty much mandatory for me to be trained in a form of combat.
There is currently talks of me getting training for cavalry. Fighting from horseback.
So if there was ever horses in the DA universe and I saw an anomaly, whether it was with the horses themselves or combat from them, I hope I don't get chastised for calling it out and making a correction.

I don't think you can take one feature out of the game and paint a picture of what the target demographic is. I highly doubt the target demographic is any different from any other BioWare game. If anything, it's like the ME (or Jade or even KOTOR) series where they just expanded what they are trying to catch.

Euh, fine. Aslong as we don't have greatswords looking like longswords and longswords looking like daggers, should be perfection.
Well, isn't that what greatswords actaully are..longer longswords? Not thicker, not wider - just longer.
I've seen someone else
Games
post that if a person were to swing a 2-handed
weapon in the manner and speed that they do it in DAO, they'd be dead
after their first battle. Though I would not presume to know what I'm
talking about when it comes to realistic sword fighting, so all I have
is the word of others to go on. (or, you know, research.. pfft. like I'm going to do that just to win an argument on the internet.)

That method would produce incorrect results. A swrod is not a iron bar. Even the tioniest difference in shape can affect the balance and weight considerbaly.
