From the first moment on i kinda liked him, he´s the typical rogue character (where as Zevran - Assassin and especially Leilana preachy Ex-Bard are not imo).
And while i was glad that Jory was killed, i felt sorry for Daveth. Especially since there are too few rogues anyway in the game.. believe me Zevran sucks at it.
Anyone else misses Daveth?

Someone modding him into the game as a full companion isn't outside the realm of possibility.

I did rather like the fact that Daveth wasn't your stereotypically cowardly rogue. He was the one willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of stopping the Blight, going so far as to try to convince Jory that it was the right choice, even if it meant death.

Indeed, in fact the 2 recruits really were quite the opposite of the stereotypes, the rogue had a strong sense of duty and was willing to sacrifice, however the knight ended up being the cowardly one looking out for his own skin.
I did quite like Daveth really, but I could tell him and Jory were redshirts from the beginning unfortunately:(

I agree, I was hoping that he'd at least live through the ritual, knowing that he was never listed as a permanent companion pre-release. He'd make a fine party member personality-wise.

Ok, i didn´t mean typical rogue cowardly wise, but a bit smart ass kind of. Just the guy whom i miss , since Alistair becomes a cry baby rather soon.

I never saw Alistair as a crybaby, honestly, once you get to be good friends with his character. I honestly see his behavior as rather realistic. Although, to stay on-topic, I do miss Daveth and Jory. They were nice.

It was pretty disappointing what happened to him. I thought we were going to see the world together (the 4 of us).
