Should be possible to nick his beard with the toolset and make an addon of it no?
Thought I'm not sure the ostagar scenes could handle TWO people with that beard. It's just to much awesome for any one game.
Problem is you have to alter the beard to make it fit the character editor since the beard's inner.. uhm... growth (?!) start farther out than your normal beards, on the side atleast. And on the Jaw it's too far inwards.

Indeed. Bioware, the next game you should allow us to get Duncan's beard. Not that mods won't make it possible now, but still. Actually, new idea. Next game we play as Duncan's beard. Yes. That would be a bestseller.
lol. hahaha.

It is with great honor and anticipation I announce to you; The one hundred and twentyeight Bearddancers are performing in the great hall of Drakon Castle one hour after the toll of the chantry bells tonight.
Wear your finest, and prepare for an evening of unmitigated entertainment. Rejoice, Denerim, as this is a once in a lifetime event, and you will not want to miss it.
In other news...
Loghain has been declared traitor to Ferelden and a Landsmeet is to be held tomorrow....

The hundreds of Bearddancers were a smashing success. They sold out within three seconds. We made enough to build a solid gold statue of The Beard in the Market District, which will be under construction soon.
In other news, Alistair and his Grey Warden friend have won the Landsmeet.

I didn't read all of the posts so it may have already been said. While I was looking through the Projects section the other day I did notice this one which may interest you all:

This is a mod that adds extra skin tones, eye & hair colours (listed below) to the in-game character creator.
I've also added Morrigan's hair model & Duncan's & Oghren's hair\\beard models.

Imagine a mod where Duncan is found alive, unslain by darkspawn. Why would they leave him alive? The Darkspawn are unrivaled beard eaters. They devoured his beard, left him facial hairless, and then left him to his eternal misery (until you help him grow it back).

All those who were not at the battle of Ostagar on St. Duncan's day shall hold their beards cheap.
