I agree re purpose vs power, but I don't think this solves the problem. The SB didn't blow up the DTC for the evulz but because it was means to an end (neutralizing Liara). The SB doesn't take sides, and as such will be selling information that will result in innocents getting hurt. Liara can't discontinue these operations or risk losing power to other organisations, or risk an insider figuring out that the SB has gone soft and try to take over.
If she wants to keep her job as the SB for the long-term (asari live long lives) she'll have to get innocents killed on a regular basis. I think this conflicts with the "good" alignment.

she only had it bad when she lost Shepard...she got over her mothers death quite fast...and the Feron thing was weird...asari must make bonds really quick...

Exactly, which is why I will stand behind any of my team, they deserve it. Theyve all been through enough, except maybe grunt, hes just born.
