It's already been said, but you came to this game expecting another rpg where you can advance the main story and then do as you please. Bioware RPGs are special because the fun lies not in the gameplay, but in the storytelling. Like others have been telling you, once it ends, it ends. How would you like watching Titanic, see the ship sink, see Jack drown, and then watch another 2 hours of Rose getting a husband and a job?
The replayability is exactly that; replayablity. Not pointless continuation.
I'll agree that the Archdemon fight was a bit underwhelming, but the story behind the ending was wonderful.
Anyways, your real error was thinking, for whatever reason, that paying $60 for a game means unlimited nonstop gameplay.
Wow this is absolutley stupid once you beat the game

Well
I know thats a ridiculous expectation , and thats not what I expect of any game because thats unrealistic BUT technically some games are unlimited play , but usually not w/o extra fees
MMOs of course but those cost money per month
Stuff like Rock band but the new songs cost money
Any game with DLC has its play time extended and the more DLC there is the longer the game lasts
Fortunatley DAO I can play through the whole game several times w/o it being the same thing over and over , I started an elf mage today after beating the game w/ my rogue
Once I beat the game as mage I may do it as a warrior but depending on what specializations I go w/ on mage I may even try mage twice over
Arcane warrior certainly sounds interesting but I'm kind of looking for the actual mage vibe to this but I may go with it anyway , I already picked spirit healer as my 1st specialization but the 2nd is still between blood mage & arcane warrior , it just depends
(I just don't think its cool to play a mage and have them wear tank armor , so I don't know its just weird) lol
