I think Salarians are really awesome... they're funny, witty, intelligent and entertaining... I like their species not like as in attracted to their characters.

what species you like more; Asari, Elcor, Turians, Salarians, Quarians, Humans, Volus, Krogan, Yahg, rachini, keepers, protheans or hanar?

Turians.

Their views on military, politics and religion are very similar to my own.

Asari. They are a very flawed species, and they try to hide that fact behind a "sexy blue alien woman" front. Their very existence breaks the Fourth Wall, and I am happy that Bioware managed to make them interesting in ME2, as in ME1, they were pretty undeveloped.

Hmm I think I would have to say Asari and if you asked for a second I would say Turians.

I have a soft spot for blue females and I like Turian personalities.

Drell and krogan.
Drell seem to be some of the most 'alien' aliens we've seen so far, if that makes any sense.Their views on things--such as the way the soul is seperate from the body--are very different from the way humans traditionally look at it, and we've only gotten to meet three. I want to see more! Krogan are badass dinosaurs that have the likes of Wrex and Grunt in their ranks: 'nuff said.

Favorite? Yeah --- you can't help but get attatched to the Asari. Exciting species full of life and thrill seeking from what I can tell and their neair humanoid looks appeal to me.

After them its Turians, Drell, Krogan and then Salarians.

I enjoy the Asari, Turians, Salarians, Krogan, and ofcourse Humans. I'm honestly not a fan of the Elcor, Volus, Hanar, Batarians, or Vorcha. The Geth are very interesting to me now that I've played through Mass Effect 2 for reasons I can't say. I don't want to spoil anything for someone. I'm interested in the Yahg and like CannotCompute said, I hope we get to see more of them in Mass Effect 3. I'd like to see a return of the Rachni as well.

Overall I'd have to say that as far as aliens go the Turians are my favorite.

I love Turians, Hanar, Geth, Elcor and Batarians, pretty much in that order.

I should say that I love to hate Batarians, pow!

OP you missed batarians, it seems that everyone is forgetting about them. I hope they get much more exposure in ME3 along with a squadmate. Speaking of which, we really need a talking hanar in DLC or ME3.

Anyways I would have to say Turians, I just find them so interesting, it's a pity we don't see the females and hear more about their culture (I mean Tali was a walking codex in the first game and all Garrus really says turns into a story of his latest ...conquest....). Hopefully we'll visit Palevin in ME3. :)

I love turians (couldn't have guessed that about me, huh), but also I love volus, elcor, and (despite the fact that I'm a fan of Tali's) the geth, who are just so darned interesting.

Curiously, the two species I found most likeable to me are the Quarians and the Geth. Krogan and Turians tie for third.

I am partial to the geth, salarians and the turians. The geth are sublime - artificial intelligence with principles when it comes to their growth. The salarians are brilliant and very precise. If only Cerberus were half the organization that the STG is. The salarians also remind me of the Pierson's Puppeteers from the Ringworld saga - in attitudes, actions and advancement, at least, as there is obviously no physical resemblance.

I also like the rachni, but only because I like hive minds in general - my actual opinion of the rachni will ultimately be determined by whether they genuinely assist me against the Reapers with their l33t hive fleets or whether they just turn on the Citadel or become indoctrinated in seconds. Either of the latter possibilities would place them firmly in the quarian/asari tier [i.e. bad tier].

i want to scientifically study the rachini, but not as a imprisoned test subject (if i was diplomatic commander shepard, i'd totally pursue some interspecies truce+treaty+agreement+exchange)... to see if they're compatible with keepers. plus the rachini would be awesome allies, and could be a valuable resourceful asset.

their bio-acid excretion, could be integrated with certain plasma weapons.

xeno-biology + advanced technology ftw

I would imagine that thresher maws also interest you. Perhaps it was a shame that Shepard put an end to Cerberus' experiments in ME1 [if one chose to pursue the Cerberus missions], as very little seems to have been gleaned from the research carried out by those cells. I think that, had Shepard chosen not to deal with the Cerberus bases, a heavy weapon that fires thresher/rachni acid should have become available.

dude, a threser maw is friggin massive.... the only research i'd recommend being made based on them, is one of creating a specialty weapon for usage against such a large hostile creature.

besides, with a neutralized threaser maw, you can collect samples of it's anatomy and functioning with ease... such as figuring out how it generate it's contents.

Turians, asari, salarians and drell. I find all of the species fascinating really, but those four pique my interest the most.
