+ Definetly the "From the Wreckage" moment, seeing your Shep barely walking with a "I just killed mecha-Cthulhu" smirk on in his/her face is priceless.

+ The whole Suicide Mission sequence, starting from when you hear "The End Run".

It's interesting, ins't it? Most of these moments come from the first game.

For me, the single greatest onscreen occurence is that zoomed out shot of Sovereign slipping through the arms of the citadel and preparing to attach itself to the spire. The sheer sense of scale and the way it works with the music blow my socks off every time.

For ME2, I find the scene with the Collector genral turning to face the engulfing flames quite powerful/poignant.

Charging three enemies off a balcony at once.

Know what you mean.

The most recent one I'm not sure I really saw (so amazed - maybe I saw it wrong).  Lair of the Shadow Broker, fighting on the outside near the hatch, Vanguard.  I target an engineer above me, one plasma shotgun burst followed by a charge.  E flies up into the lightning stream and 1/2 second later gets zapped by the special effect, as in carried away and fried.  Thought is was just for show.  Looked quite real to me.  The whole DLC set me up for that to that point and the rest of it was just icing (and easier than the outside of the ship!).

I am addicted to Vanguard adrenaline.

I agree with Vendetta. I had heard that Shepard was dead at the beginning of ME2 before I played ME1, so when I finished the final battle in 1, I thought Shepard had died. Seeing him rise from the rubble with that goosebump-inducing music was awesome. I really hope they bring back more of the ME1 music in the 3rd game ... Hearing a little bit of it again in the "Shadow Broker" DLC was nice.

Also, the end of ME2 when the fleet of Reapers was shown descending on the galaxy. When I saw that, I knew the last game would be epic.

I have so many of them, across both games, I couldn't possible pick one.
Here are a few, in no particular order:

1. Sexing up a blue chick
2. Sexing up a Quarian
3. The conversation with Sovereign. Unreal. Goosebumps, every time.
4. Getting everyone through the suicide mission. On the first try. No cheating. HELL YES. I even sent Tali, my sweetheart, into the vents, because I knew she could do it. Jeezus I was so scared, and so proud of her :D
5. Saving the Destiny Ascension.
6. When Archangel removed his helmet. I hadn't read any spoilers, so it
was a genuine surprise. I literally, involuntarily called out his name
and spent the next 5 minutes grinning.
7. Conversely, watching Garrus get shot was frightening. As. Hell. I love you, Dr. Chakwas. Thank you for fixing him.
8. Watching Anderson deck Udina. Yeah! F**k that guy!!
9. Hearing Kelli suggest that Tali had a "thing" for me.
10. Telling TIM to ****** off.  With Miranda there.
11. Becoming the first Human Spectre. Who's awesome? I'm awesome.
12. Talking to the Rachni Queen. A wonderful conversation that does a
great job of capturing what it might be like to talk to a creature who
experiences the world in a completely different way. Also made me
sympathize with a horrendous insectoid monster. I have never and would
never ever kill the Queen.
13. Drinks and reminiscing with the good doctor :-)

OMG, this!  Wrex's reunion was unexpectedly and touchingly emotional.
Especially after hearing about what amazing things he is doing with the Krogan.  So proud of that guy.

The "From the Wreckage" scene. Watching the Alliance Fleet destroy Sovereign, the debris slamming into the Citadel Tower, Anderson and his men searching the wreckage but finding Shepard gone, only for Shepard to finally appear and limp towards the others, a pained but victorious smile on his face, all while Jack Wall's brilliant music blares triumphantly. I still get goosebumps watching it, and I've replayed the ending at least a dozen times.

A few for me, the foremost of which was the attack on the Citadel, as I raced through the corridors - an enormous battle taking place overhead, and a sense of impending doom making me charge through enemies with barely a concern for my safety. (Actually, that's true. I died about four times until I stopped, calmed down, and actually went about killing things properly.)

Secondly, I loved the Lair of the Shadow Broker. The amount of polish it had was unbelievable, and there were more than a few memorable moments.

Finally, when I was first made a Spectre. That's what hooked me in the first place. The way that moment was handled - spectacular.

This comes up a lot, and with good reason.  What sold me on that scene, was the way people in the upper levels of the Council Chamber were shown leaning in to observe the ceremony.  It felt really consequential.  The fact that I had known nothing about ME and didn't know Shep became a SPECTRE made the scene a wonderful surprise.

The entire suicide mission. I avoided spoilers for ME2 like crazy and that whole finale was amazing. Just amazing. And when the entire crew came out of that mission alive I thought nothing could top that great feeling. And then I told off the Illusive Man and pimp walked away with a smile on my face.

It was gold. Pure. Amazing. Brilliant.

Everything from hitting the Omega 4 Relay to the credits was amazing.

Besides that, the first time I saw my a custom Shepard's face in ME1 that I liked. I restarted that game at least 10 times before I got a face I liked in the opening....and it gave me goosebumps. Still have that character, he'll be the first one to transfer into ME3.

I can't pick an absolute favorite, but these are the parts I liked the most:

1. Driving the Mako through a Mass Relay (then running down the side of The Citadel).
2. The entire Suicide Mission in ME2.
3. Blowing up the Collector Base and telling the Illusive Man off.
4. Thane's romance scene before the Omega 4 Relay.
5. Finding out Archangel was Garrus.
6. Talking to Vigil on Illos.
7. Talking to Sovereign on Virmire (it's voice really gets to me).
8. Seeing Wrex again on Tuchanka.
9. The end of ME1 where Shepard reappears, when thought to be dead.
10. Becoming a Spectre.

The greatest moment is yet to come because it will be in ME3.

But so far in ME and ME2, the moment of reunion of my LI in ME2 touched me the most. When you are deeply in love, you just can't wait to see your lover and give him/her the best, longest hug ever! (with a kiss would be great too)

I concur with these, and also:
  • Sovereign's attack on the Citadel - seriously, just driving through a Turian dreadnought = sexy.
  • Regarding specific moments of the Collector base finale, when Garrus orders suppressing fire and the fire team appears with mattocks and geth pulse rifles, blowing the hell out of the Collector horde = glorious.
  • Also, Jack delivering a final biotic blast at the seeker swarms = glorious.
  • Giving Kargesh a fish. He is so HAPPY. If I was ever going to cry at a game, it would have been in response to his face should you tell him that there are no fish in the presidium lakes. He is so devastated by the news. Even Shepard looks sad. ):
  • Chatting with Legion after destroying the Collector station. Actually, just chatting with Legion or Mordin.
  • Last stand against the LOKI mech horde with Legion and Garrus, sniper rifles all round.
Of course, just about any combat mission undertaken with Legion and Garrus feels godly. Two Widows and an Incisor, tungsten rounds, Legion's glorious headshot comments - yeah, I get very down when I run out of missions. Need more DLCs.

"Suit up. We're going outside!" To see the glass around the elevator shatter from a shot right after Shepard says that, and the jump out was really awesome. My pulse elevated from that line alone. That was when I realized, yeah, Shepard is the John McClane of Mass Effect, doing whatever needs to be done to save the day.

He beat me to it, but probably the single most favorite moment for me too. Especially as the camera pans towards Sovereign and you're feeling so insignificant in comparison.

Also the entirety of Virmire, Ilos, arriving at the Citadel for the firs time, the intro cutscene of Mass Effect, the scape from the Citadel, Sovereign's reveal... ah, so many!

Either talk with Sovereign on Virmire OR the whole Battle of the Citadel(opening arms, cutscenes, that awesome song that plays when the credits roll etc).
