Piracy affects both systems equally, anyone who thinks 360 users have a harder time of stealing a game is a fool, its just as easy to do on a 360 as it is for a PC, all it takes is a bit of knowledge of what your doing, in fact, I'd argue its easier to get away with piracy on the 360, because if you know how to get around the censors, they can't ever find out you are using a modded 360, while with a PC, all it would take is for them to put out a program with a patch to see who is using the same CD-Keys.
Companies, and people need to get this fool notion out of their head that the PC system is rife with piracy due to how easy it is, and realize the reason the 360 seems so pure and innocent and uncorrupted by piracy is because if you do it right, your modded 360 is a perfectly normal 360 according to Microsoft, and won't ever set off any alarms, even while you pirate away.
Really, they need to start working on better measures to fight pirates, a good way to start is to stop treating actual customers like pirates, and possibly treating pirates like potential customers, if they found out what exactly the pirates wanted in a game, and offered it in a way that can't be pirated ( ala, DLC that checks your CD-key when it installs, or something along those lines ) I'm more then certain they would pay for it.
Yet all we see is them put more and more programs on their stuff that makes it harder to play the actual product legit, but easier to play it pirated, or do things so stupid that nobody respects them as a company anymore, look at Bioshock, look at Spore, look at MW2, these games are all pirated up the wazoo, largely because its nearly impossible to play them as a paying customer, and you need to crack it just to play them, or in the case of MW2, because Infinity Ward pretty much told their PC crowd to shove off, and enjoy a game with only half the features of the 360 version, and most of those features were broken, along with then engaging in a bunch of childish shouting matches with them.
