  Some friends and I are considering going through the NWN 2 Official Campaign together, but I have a question before we get started.


Does the game force certain AI controlled characters into the party or will we be able to play the game with only player characters for the most part?  We will have a full group and don't want AI tag-a-longs.

I believe that certain characters are related to the plot so you may need them.



You can also play through some other modules with friends like Keep on the Borderlands on the Vault.

In the OC, some NPCs must be taken along in specific sections as they are needed to advance the storyline.



Also, I believe that only the party leader can interact in conversations. All other players will have their game frozen while the convo is going.



Never played it in MP myself, so not sure what else may happen for you.

Maybe you would be better off playing some other NWN2 modules in multiplayer?

Legacy of White Plume Mountain seems very well suited for this (though I haven't tested the multiplayer aspect of it).
