So...to sum it all up, it's not that I hate BioWare or anything, or Dragon Age, but I don't feel I should have to go through this just to play a game that I love. And...it's not that I'm at my wit's end and need help but...yeah. I am. I do. I appreciate your patience in listening to me rant. Or...if you closed the post because you had no patience...that's understandable. Cheers
Sweet Moses, this is frustrating!

Hello everyone! Let me just start off by saying that I love BioWare and all their games, and I am an avid fan of Dragon Age. That being sad, I'm about to tear my hair out and run screaming through the woods naked, painted in woad. I have not had any issues with Dragon Age since near when it first was released (back when everyone was having issues), and I've been enjoying many playthroughs from different perspectives, because the replay value is amazing. However, in my most recent file, starting about a week ago, things started to go bad. Yes, that "bad" is emboldened. I had just finished dealing with all the kvetch in Lothering with my new character, who is a City Elf Rogue, and had entered camp for the first time. I talked to the party and schmoozed, sold some stuff to the dwarf, and then I went over to Levi Dryden. Levi effing Dryden. This is where it has gone sour, like milk that's been sitting in your fridge 3 weeks longer than it should have. I talked to Levi about his issues, gave him a tissue, and went to go tell him that I'd help him with Soldier's Peak. Then..."wait, what's this B.S. about coming back after I've thought about it? Downloading the content?
..." Grr. I saved the game, logged out, and checked my DLC listing. Yes it's downloaded, but..."What?! Unauthorized? Authorize this, jerk-off! I've DONE THIS ALREADY. I have the Collector's Edition, I preordered the game, and I've played through Warden's Keep like FIVE TIMES. Don't tell me it's UNAUTHORIZED.
..." ...yeah. Sorry about that, but that's how it went. Ninja emoticon and all. So I went on the forums, and checked through the common issues section, trying every single fix, and following them to the letter. I dotted my i's, and crossed my t's. I stood on my head. I drank root beer while standing on the aforementioned head, through a straw. Alright, so maybe that last part isn't true. But I tried. So now I sit here, over a week after my problems had started, having uninstalled and reinstalled all the DLC, reverified the downloader blah blah blah, and still...nothing. Not only nothing, but now the DLC list loves to tell me sometimes crap is authorized, sometimes it's not. Login and I apparently haven't purchased either Warden's Keep, or the Stone Prisoner. Refresh my BioWare points and I have. DLC is authorized? Login. Talk to Levi? It's all good. I tell him I'll help, and he says he appreciates it. Then he sits there as though nothing has happened, and lets me tell him the same crap over again. No quest update. I'm...rather upset at this point. To put it lightly.
I, too, have had something similar occur to me this playthrough. I talked to Levi Dryden and actually completed the Soldier's Peak mission such that Levi and his cousin were selling their wares in the courtyard. I even put some of my loot in the chest there. After I went on my way and eventually made my way to camp, I noticed that Levi was back in my camp asking if I would help him with Soldier's Peak. I exited and restarted the saved game and found that Levi was gone from camp, but so was the Soldier's Peak loot, as was Soldier's Peak itself from the world map.
Frankly, I don't know how to recover -- the DLC is already "enabled" according to my downloadable content page . . .

Thanks for the replies guys, although I'm not very encouraged. I don't blame BioWare for my issues, I just wish I didn't personally have to surf around, hunt, and scrounge to try to fix them, since I didn't cause them in the first place. I'd just like to continue enjoying Dragon Age as I have been...while waiting for The Old Republic

So...if anyone has any ideas about what I can do, or where else to look/who to ask...yeah. It would be much appreciated.

What game version are you running? I've honestly never seen this problem with 1.02a, but seen many, MANY reports of it after the recent patches were released.

I was running on 1.03, but I recently updated to 1.04 before I reinstalled all my DLC.

I hear your pain.
My issue is I can not add party members, any more.
When I leave the camp, no matter who I choose, no party members.
Solo.
No idea why, but it was after updating to 1.04 as well.
Have not tried soldiers peak since the update, and after reading your post, I think I want to roll it back.
So how do I roll back the update?

Uninstall the game, then reinstall, but don't use either of the last two patches, just the usable (for Vista and Windows 7) patch, 1.02A. Gamers still using Windows XP haven't had nearly as much trouble after patching with 1.03 and / or 1.04, and truthfully, many gamers who are using Windows 7, at least, have reported no difficulties. Nevertheless, the percentage who have had both performance problems and stability issues seems too high to believe that the patches were thoroughly tested in those newer Windows versions.

The funny thing is, I'm running on XP, because Vista was too buggy when I got a new computer, and 7 wasn't out yet. But I guess I'll give it a try.

Vista, plus its latest Service Pack, is supposed to be close to the same as Windows 7, so it's no surprise to me when they respond similarly to something such as these latest two game patches.
It is with regret that I must say I skipped reading the opening comment, due to the total absence of any obvious paragraph breaks. Despite my corrective prescription, blocks of run-on, wall to wall text like that simply defeat me. No matter whether I might want to do, I have no choice.

i've recently contacted EA on this issue. ( for me , all my dlc's say there there and enabled, but none show up in game) EA says to first delete the files and let the game redownload all. that takes forever with all of them trying to install at once. or reinstall the game. ive done both and i still dont get back my dlc,s
i guess i'll try to roll back to 1.02 patch. i didnt have any problems back then. cant hurt to try. ive already spent more time trying to fix this than i have playing game. and i have over 80 hours play time

Yeah, I think I'm going to do a clean reinstall and stick with 1.02, see how that goes.

Just bumping this to note that I uninstalled the game and did a clean reinstall in the order of Origins > 1.03 >Awakening > DLC requiring 1.03 and previous > 1.04 > Witch Hunt, and now everything works hunkey-dorey. Cheers!
