Hi Everyone

We have emailed out a veritible armory's worth of codes for the Staff of Parthalan and if you had signed up for the Dragon Age newsletter prior to or during this summer's conventions you should have now received your code. If you have received your code you can either hold onto the email and redeem it once Dragon Age 2 ships in March or you can register it now and it will be associated with your profile, ready to go when the game ships.

If you have not yet signed up for the Newsletter, you can sign up during the month of October and you will still get the newsletter and the code for the Staff of Parthalan. Head over to the Dragon Age homepage and sign up in teh upper right hand corner.http://dragonage.bioware.com/

If you sign up or have signed up for the newsletter In October, you will be getting your code emailed to you in November.

If you have not received a code and think you should have:

1 - Please check your CORRECT email address. The email it was sent to is the email tied to your BioWare Social account. Some people use multiple email addresses (like a personal one only for family, but a gmail or hotmail for signups to avoid spam, etc). Make sure you are checking the email address attached to your profile and not the wrong account.

2 - You should have signed up for the Dragon Age newsletter which is available here: http://dragonage.bioware.com/ It should appear in teh upper right hand corner of the page. If you do not see it, you have signed up for it (but you can clear your cookies and sign up again. It does not harm things, but it doesn't give you extra codes either).

3 - We are working on a system to allow users to test their sign up to ensure they get the newsletter and teh Staff of Parthalan code. tThis will take a day or so to get working, but we will let you know when it is up and running.

Not to worry folks, there's still plenty of time - you'll all get the item.

If you have not yet redeemed your code, but received the email - either hang on to this until a convenient time, or go ahead and redeem it anytime at the 'redeem promo code' page.  For consoles, ensure the xbox gamertag or PSN name at the top of this page matches the account you use on your console.

If you have redeemed a code - have a look in your 'registered game promotions' page.  You should see the staff on the list.  Again, for consoles ensure the xbox gamertag or PSN name at the top of this page matches the account you use on your console.

While we're working on something here on social to help you verify if you are registered for the newsletter (and bound to get your item email in one of the upcoming email send outs) - you can try to verify if your account is currently set to receive news/email from EA about DA, which is a good first step.

To confirm if you are set to receive email:
1) Go to www.ea.com (you may be redirected to your local country version of this page)
2) At the bottom of the page (footer), you should see a "Login" link
3) Ensure you login with the same email and password you use here on social
4) At the next page, one of the tabs at the top of the page should say "Contact Preferences", select this
5) Ensure the checkbox is ON for "Contact me about EA's products...."
6) Ensure the checkbox is ON for "Dragon Age" (feel free to adjust your preference for receiving other game's news)

You should be set to receive upcoming emails for DA - it's worth reminding folks to also occasionally check your spam folder on your email account.

Thanks for the info - this is a relatively new thing that's been added to the EA account (the game preferences), and seems like this may have only been added to the US system for now so please use that.

Just a quick recap as a lot of pages have added up here...

- Next newsletter/staff email is expected to be sometime in November (no need to observe your inbox in real-time)

- We continue to work on a tool that will allow you to verify if you're signed up correctly, and get the item. 

This will confirm you are signed up (or allow you to sign up) and either...
  a) re-send you the code email at your request
  show the code to you / allow you to redeem it straight away
  c) just add the item to your account automatically

Either way, this will be resolved well before DA2 comes around and in a way that everyone will definitely get their item.
