To get this to show up I had to open up Google Chrome (which is not my preferred browser) and then sign up for it using my existing e-mail (and what the newsletter should be assigned to already), so either way I should be able to get the code, hope this helps some people!
As I said, I received a newsletter about the cinematic trailer in august so I know the newsletter get's through my filters, but I did not receive a confirmation e-mail about (re)signing up for the newsletter.

Would it not be easier for Bioware to just make a button here or on the gamepage that if you press it adds the Staff to the registered game promotions of your profile here. I mean anyone interested in the staff is going to be signed up for the SocialSite anyway already and this way seems far less work and less troublesome to me, but I have absolutely no knowledge of programming so I might be wrong.

For a "top" dev (not in my book though) they don't seem to handle the little things very well.
game patches, PS3 support, Newsletter sign ups, game patches, xbox360 support, game patches awakening pricing in EU hmm not a good track record!!
I like DA O a lot second to Oblivion so far but the support has been dire to none exsistant.
Rushed un-tested DLC to keep the "masters" EA happy instead of taking their time and getting it right.
this latest debarcle is just another in a long line of Bioware mis-management of their own systems.

Check your EA master account - everyone has one, it's created automatically with the same login details when you register here. If you've already signed up for the newsletter, then your EA master account should reflect that. You can manage all the available newsletters there, but do so at your own risk. I won't take responsibility if you don't get your email later on.
I checked my EA master account and it has the dragon age box checked in the list of my games. Just to be sure that I will receive my code in november I made a new EA account (this time with gmail, my actual account is with hotmail) by clicking in register link at the stay informed form. Once I had my new account, I checked my EA master account to see if the dragon age box was marked and it was so I unmarked it just to see what happend to it if I sign up for the newsletter.
When I signed up for the newsletter I didn't receive the "account updated" message so I attached my new account to the bioware social network and re-signed up again, this time I receive the message.
After that, I checked again my EA master account and the dragon age box was marked again. So, what does the "account updated" message mean? does it mean that the dragon age box from the EA master account has been marked? does the dragon age box from EA master account mean that we are succesfully signed up for the newsletter? and if it is true why we have to sign up for the newsletter if the dragon age box was marked when we create our account from dragon age page?
I will buy the game even if I don't receive the staff but I really want it so please Bioware solve this problem.
Sorry for my spelling but english is not my native language.

I totally agree with this one. Less stress for everyone.

Yes to this, makes no sence to make something like this exclusive, everyone who plays the game deserves this item.

You forget that this item gives DA II more free media coverage on many sites.HighlandBerserkr wrote...

Why would that be?
This seems to be the same argument people are using with regards to the Signature Edition--that simply buying the standard game means you're entitled to all extra content, no strings attached. In this particular case, all you have to do is sign up for a newsletter.

And receive absolutely nothing, do that and you get this, but a hell of a lot of us have not received this after doing that.

I understand that part of it (implementation), I only take issue with the idea that everyone should simply be given this, partly because that basic argument seems to be rearing its head a lot lately.

People, please calm down and have a little more faith in the team. They told us they were working on it, so let them. I'm sure that given how upset you are now, they definitely don't want to face you in November and say, "Sorry, no staff for you". How 'bout we give them a bit longer to prove themselves?
I'm just going to immortalize this post so that if need be, I can use it against you in the future.

I agree that the wording was atrocious since nobody deserves anything. However, I see this as slightly different than the SE situation. I do think the staff code should just be made available to everyone on the boards. Not because of entitlement or anything absurd like that, but because the current system is defective.Riona45 wrote...

The promise of the item has, so far, gone unfulfilled for many of us despite our complying with the requirements.
