I've been subscribed for ever, but I also "resubscribed", I guess you would call it, as soon as the DA2 site went up and I get the code as soon as they announced it.

I also subscribed when the DA 2 site went up, or perhaps I didn't... I forget...

But to clarify, you subscribed twice? On different sites?

Only I don't have the option to subscribe to the newsletter, but I haven't been bothered to clear my cookies and all that sort of thing recently.

Not sure about the exact month when it all started but I have been doing the registering and checking since the first anouncement but nothing so far xD

( sort of relevant) well I deleted my newly made account that used one email so I could resign up with the email that my PS3 account uses to see if that had anything to do with me not getting any code. Apparently that email was already being used. Thing is I've never used that email on here at all. I just joined here yesterday. I have no Bioware account with it. So if I can't get the code for the Staff because of that then I'm just really ecstatic.



Question. I went here accounts.bioware.com/my_account/nsl.html and I signed up for the newsletter. Now with Mr. Priestly saying that those people who sign up in October will receive a code in November, does that mean I don't have to worry until then?

No it's not too late you can still get the staff if you sign up before november. Apparently the page where you check your accounts wasn't revelant to the dragon age newsletter so they took it off their. If you can't see the sign up on the main page it should mean your signed up. If your lucky you get the staff in november. Until then were all waiting for bioware to come up with a way to see if were signed up for the newsletter.

I noticed that someone posted about the EA master account earlier but I don't think that has anything to do with the newsletter, either.

Once on the legacy site(Original boards) 2nd time on DAO site, and 3rd on the DA2 site. In fact, I can still request the newsletter on the DA2 website if I wanted.

Basically they released a universal code that came with the game or could be found online, meaning that anyone who wanted to use the scythe had the option.

Thank god I remembered though, just re-subscribed now (hopefully this is okay timing because it's still October), does this mean I'll get my code hopefully in November? (This is great if so, because I'll be in China till November 1st and won't get chance to get my emails till then)

Yes you will, I'm in China and has been been here for some time now and I get my newletters (haven't gotten the code, but it's kind of hard to blame that on being in China seeing this thread ^^). As far as I've experienced, all sites I visit works just like normal here exxcept Youtube and Facebook and some others, but I haven't noticed any missing mails.

I can also be online as I'm playing, no problems (or as the chinese say 没问题)

Was that for PC version as well or just consoles? Lately most games seem to offer bonuses for console only. And is the game worth getting on PC? Console ports tend to make it to pc with poor controls and poor visuals in my experience.

Ah, I think we're having a misunderstanding . The reason I can't come on isn't because of China's censorship of certain sites. It's because I'm going on a business trip (well...sorta, I'll probably be enjoying myself more than I'll be working), leaving me little or no time to go on the internet. Plus I'm staying at a hotel and I'm unsure whether it will have a computer or internet available (can't take my laptop sadly), so that's why.

Also, I don't chinese very well (not even ping yin) as I've only started learning, but I think you said, "I have no problems"

问题 = Problems?

Though out of curiosity, how come you didn't use 有 which means to have? I'm not a native chinese speaker so..

Also where do you live? I'm going to Chengdu, Sichuan.

I didn't even get an activation email...so I'm worried but I believe the codes will be sent out in November to those who subscribe in October.

I can't say for certain if the code came with the PC version, since i  got it on the PS3 not long after release but i've seen the code posted on various sites . I liked the game personally it had a good story and fun gameplay but it did have some annoying flaws, namely instead of unique enemies a lot of enemies were just reskins or a slighty different colour with more health and dealt more damage. The best way i could some it up is that it's like a slower pased God of War with some RPG like traits but nothing major in that department.

Unfortunatley i can't say anything about PC contols because of me having the PS3 version, but im pretty sure the PC port was only released a month or two ago because they were taking extra time to make sure the PC port was of a high standard. Then again that could just be PR nonsense.

It all really depends on your personal preference, as much as i liked the game i wasn't blown away by it.

Thank you for the info, sounds a tad like Diablo re the recoloured enemies. I think I'll take a closer look, maybe it can help pass the time until the staff code arrives.

Is it just me or is all the marketing and promotion for DA2 kind of. . . terrible? First this and then the issue with DA2 pre-orders...this game looks to be cursed.
