I don't even see where to sign up for the newsletter any more. I think I've received it, and I signed up in August during the original sign up period, but I still don't have the staff code.

 It seems mine was un-verified as well. So I assume that is the reason why I haven't received any newsletters from EA or any EA Partners ever?
Also I really want that staff   It looks epic.

Well I have been having the same problems as everyone else, I followed Fernando Melo's advice and found I hadn't verified my e-mail on the master account not chosen a master ID, so I did all that, I have now just received an e-mail entitled "EA In The Game News | October 2010‏", this is the first newsletter I have had, so fingers crossed and I'm a lot more hopeful now.

I'm pretty sure I have somehow completely Herp Derp'ed this situation. I signed up for the newsletter. I got an email, but I thought it was just concerning the Trailer, which I had already seen. So I deletedd it. This was just before the trailer was released when I signed up. I don't know if my code for the staff was on that email or not. I dont think I've received anymore emails though.



When I tried to sign up for it again on DA2.com, the link isn't there. I went to EA.com to login there and got confirmation that that registration was completed, but still no newsletter. Deleted my cookies, and still no link on DA:2.



So, at this point I'm pretty sure my code was in fact on that email that I deleted(DERP), and that I have well and thoroughly Herp'ed the Derp. I just wanna know how I can undue it, so I can get my Staff. I promoise not to smack Carver with it (although there will likely be some amount of waling).

If its the same email received then the code wasn't in there. All mine had was the trailer being released and advertising the free item. There was no code and I haven't received any email since then.

Well I am crossing my fingers but am getting worried. My account was verified and still I have yet to receive any newsletters or a letter about the code. I even checked like Mr. Melo said and Dragon age is checked as a newsletter.

To help people out a bit: the email that I received the code in actually had "The Staff of Parthalan" in the subject so specifically be on the lookout for that.

Silly question, but how does one make the EA site verify your e-mail? It says at the bottom of my screen that I am unverified but I can't figure out how to change that. I can see how to "update my info" or "change password" but nothing on the profile page seems to be jumping out at me. Also, not sure if this is an issue or not, but I have two personas, the one I created for The Sims 3 way back when and the one I have linked to BSN. I have the BSN one selected, if that helps at all.

I don't remember how it worked for the EA site myself since it was months ago that I signed up.

You'd be in the Australian site I presume, this was the problem some of us had before we figured out that you have to login in to the central US site not your country specific site. There's some posts on it directly after Fernando's post.

Yep thats what they do.

Just a quick recap as a lot of pages have added up here...

- Next newsletter/staff email is expected to be sometime in November (no need to observe your inbox in real-time)

- We continue to work on a tool that will allow you to verify if you're signed up correctly, and get the item. 

This will confirm you are signed up (or allow you to sign up) and either...
  a) re-send you the code email at your request
  show the code to you / allow you to redeem it straight away
  c) just add the item to your account automatically

Either way, this will be resolved well before DA2 comes around and in a way that everyone will definitely get their item.
