So tomorrow is the last day of the staff promo. No codes for me. No plae to check sign up status. No update from Bioware concerning the staff since the one from Fernando. I think I've jumped through every hoop I could find to make sure I get the staff. Admittedly, I'm probably one who is to blame for me not getting the code. I'm sure that most everyone who signed up for the newsletter got the staff, so Bioware has much much bigger fish to fry. So, I'm gonna go ahead and just cross my fingers and hope for the best. Like Fernando said, Bioware will most likely handle this in a way that everyone will be happy with. Still, xx.

I thought the devs said that those who updated in October would get the e-mail with code in November. If this is true, and I hope it is, don't give up yet. : )

Heh, i sign up for the newsletter several times a day. I use GC for general use, but fire up IE8 a couple times a day, clear out the cookies and sign up to the DA newsletter. Everytime it says updated.



I'm sure i originally signed up so many months ago i don't even remember when it was...



Checked my EA, it's verified as of a few days ago and Dragon Age is checked and the contact me part is checked too. (still, i received other email from EA in the past like for Medal of Honour beta invite and news.)



Anyway i'm sure some poor slob will be handed a list of everytime the newsletter was 'updated' on someone's email address. For me it'll be like 20 times lol or maybe more.



It's not the end of the world if i don't get it, but im sure i will. I just want to win that hoodie from the FB blog.

Haven't gotten any newsletter at all despite doing all that verifying and check-box business. I had trouble with EA before when trying to retrieve lost account password and some times I plain did not get a response but worked days later.

Thing that I noticed about my EA-profile, when I look at the Dutch version, I don't have the option to sign up for the DA newsletter, but only for the EA newsletter. You have to use the US version.

I know, and I did, but I was more wondering if it had something to do with the fact that the Dutch version is my default version. That should mean that only people from the US (and other countries that have the DA newsletter option at their specific website) receive the staff/newsletter.
I haven't been paying a lot of attention to it, but most people that have problems are not American. (AFAIK, like I said, I haven't been really paying attention to it, so maybe I'm wrong).

Not received mine, so I've gone ahead and tried to re-enter onto the newsletter today. Hopefully will now get in November as promised.

I'm also signed up for the newsletter but have no staff. I've been e-mailed the newsletter itself and have the belt (that was easy!) but no dice on the Parlthan. Hope this gets sorted out at some point or that there are plenty of equally cool looking mage weapons in DAII.

So we were supposed to have received emails about trailers and newsletters after we registered? I haven't received anything since I registered a couple of weeks ago, but just figured that we were in a quiet news period. It seems strangely hard to get this registration done, considering I just registered the hindsight belt and it was in my profile's registered game promotions seconds later.

Did you try Fernando's trick with the EA site to see if your email is verified?

How do you check if it's verified? I've looked everywhere on the EA and the Bioware sites. Thank you!

I signed up did the preorder of the da2 in august I recieved one news letter that showed stats and said soon I would recive my code. Im still waiting on more newsletters and the code. its been 3 months but I guess it does not matter since its only good for da2 anyway. not like i can use the staff in dao or awakening.

ETA: OR! The Hindsight Belt was crafted specifically in order to test the new system. If this is true, I approve.

When I was reading Fernado's post, it was nice to see Bioware wants everyone here to get the staff in the end. And when I saw how easy it was to get the Hindsight belt and that it required to sign up for the newsletter and I instantly got the belt, I had the exact same thought as you: maybe it is to test the new system.

I just signed up for the penny arcade belt on the da2 site and then signed up again and it just told me account updated again. now Its in green so try it this way .

Go to da2 site sign up for belt then type your login info in and click sign up for news letter and see if this does it.

We'll see what happens in the next two weeks. That's how long it will probably take for the last person on the list to get the newsletter in November.

2) At the bottom of the page (footer), you should see a "Login" link

5) Ensure the checkbox is ON for "Contact me about EA's products...."
6) Ensure the checkbox is ON for "Dragon Age" (feel free to adjust your preference for receiving other game's news)

You
should be set to receive upcoming emails for DA - it's worth reminding
folks to also occasionally check your spam folder on your email account.

Hey, thanks for finding that mcneil_1 couldn't find it earlier. Just to check i've done the verification and all that stuff, but will i recieve the newsletter very soon or not until November. Because as im typing this i haven't received anything DA related.

Honestly I dont know , we should all find out hopefully sometime over the next couple of weeks if Fernando's suggestion works.
I do know that I did receive a couple of other EA games emails as a result of his idea (but I dont know if hints for the games count ).
But if it doesnt, hopefully they can do what they did for the hindsight belt for everybody?
