Honestly since we don't know the stats on the staff, I wouldn't get too worked up over it. In DA:O almost every promotional Item I got was rendered outdated either 4 hours into the game (if you could equip it at level 1) or I had better items by the time I could use it (I'm looking at YOU blood dragon armor).



We already know there is more than one sword-staff in the game, and if the SoP turns out to be the best item in the game, where is the fun in earning it by completing a difficult quest? Good items are the original achievement system.

I haven't receive anything related to DA2 since the Signature Edition mail. Nothing about raise to power trailer or rogue article. This is annoying

Question, am I out of luck if I subscribed to the newsletter late? Like as of yesterday...I got the belt but not the staff.

Doesn't appear to be, lots of overlap in regions which got the code and didn't get it.  More likely would be some email address character, like if you had a . in your name or something similar.

I haven't gotten a code or anything for hindsight or the staff and I signed up early October. I did get the letter about the Rise to Power trailer on 10/26 so I know I'm subscribed. From someone who has gotten their hindsight and/or staff of parlathan can you tell me what you got so I know what to look for?

Hindsight is different. It's not being sent by mail. Go HERE, and click the box next to Hawlk that says "DAII penny arcade motion comic" or something. Then on that page, there should be another box saying "Get your belt NAO!" or something. Follow the instructions. I didn't recieve an e-mail comfirming this, but I did recieve hindsight in my registered promo's

As far as we know, yes.  The cut off date was the end of october, if you signed up in november you were too late.

They may change how it works to make everyone eligible, but we won't know until they tell us more.

I got the Dutch EA october newsletter (nothing about DA2 in it) but no signature edition email and still no staff code. Hmm. Good thing I like playing rogues.

It's tied to your email account, not your individual computer.

They send a code you have to redeem for the staff.  Since you signed up in october, you should be on the mailing list when they go out sometime this month.  Just make sure you can receive newsletters from bioware (though it still seems buggy so you might not get them anyways.)

 Everyone should just try to remain calm and patience, many people haven't received any form of newsletter yet (including myself) but, I'm sure everyone who signed up before/within October will get their code. I know that if I don't get my code, I'll use my posts here in October as proof I signed up and badge Bioware anyway .

What worries me is that is signed for DA2 newsletter, the "news on Dragon Age" option is chosen on my EA account (I checked this many times), yet still I haven't received a single newsletter about Dragon Age - no Destiny trailer, no Rise to power video, just nothing.

I verified my my email after the rise to power trailer so I was not s afraid about not a single newsletter mail came but I was worried when the news about dragon age legends never came to my inbox... so I still don't know... I hope I am in their list for the staff...

Yeah, pretty much the same here.

I have a fully verified EA-account, I have been signed up for the DA-newsletter since the beginning but I have not received a single EA-newsletter in the last few months.

I've been getting the newsletters from EA including the DA2 letter for "Rise to Power". No staff just fyi

Would be a lot less painless. I really hate when companies do promotions like this, you miss them, then you're screwed. Especially for people who like media blackouts and don't watch trailers. I know now to keep my eyes on the site.

I've verified my email, contact preferences, and the checked my browser and email settings but I haven't received any newsletter of any sort concerning Dragon Age. So my conclusion is that the problem lies in individual routers.
