Hi Everyone

We have emailed out a veritible armory's worth of codes for the Staff of Parthalan and if you had signed up for the Dragon Age newsletter prior to or during this summer's conventions you should have now received your code. If you have received your code you can either hold onto the email and redeem it once Dragon Age 2 ships in March or you can register it now and it will be associated with your profile, ready to go when the game ships.

If you have not yet signed up for the Newsletter, you can sign up during the month of October and you will still get the newsletter and the code for the Staff of Parthalan. Head over to the Dragon Age homepage and sign up in teh upper right hand corner.http://dragonage.bioware.com/

If you sign up or have signed up for the newsletter In October, you will be getting your code emailed to you in November.

If you have not received a code and think you should have:

1 - Please check your CORRECT email address. The email it was sent to is the email tied to your BioWare Social account. Some people use multiple email addresses (like a personal one only for family, but a gmail or hotmail for signups to avoid spam, etc). Make sure you are checking the email address attached to your profile and not the wrong account.

2 - You should have signed up for the Dragon Age newsletter which is available here: http://dragonage.bioware.com/ It should appear in teh upper right hand corner of the page. If you do not see it, you have signed up for it (but you can clear your cookies and sign up again. It does not harm things, but it doesn't give you extra codes either).

3 - We are working on a system to allow users to test their sign up to ensure they get the newsletter and teh Staff of Parthalan code. tThis will take a day or so to get working, but we will let you know when it is up and running.

BUT the game is so far away from the release date that i really dont seem to care for a staff/sword thingy (i did give it a go and drop me email there but alas no luck) but then again if i dont get it i really dont care for it, sure it look ok and bonus stuff is always cool but i think its just way to early for stuff like that.

Why not? I got the code fine and entered it like this:

What version of Firefox are you using? I just went to Tools>Options>Privacy then clicked on Remove Individual Cookies.

This is a good point. Everyone still waiting should check their filters or SPAM folders to make sure the newsletters or emails have not been caught by filters. Just in case.

I've checked, nothing in there but real spam. I signed up for the newsletter back when the promotion first started and never got anything.

Same as most. Checked junk folder, nothing.
Also, I most definitely did sign up. Signed up shortly after trailer release. Never received a confirmation e-mail and haven't received any newsletters. Nothing.

If it makes any difference, I signed up in August and I got the first newsletter on 8/20. No idea why I didn't get the second, but I did check my filters and spam folders... no dice.

I just want to say thanks for allowing those of us who just noticed this a chance to get that really awesome staff. As one who primarily plays mages, I was really kicking myself for not getting in on this earlier. Thank goodness I noticed that.

Maybe Chris could find out if the people who just can't seem to get the newsletter now will have a chance to download if for free when the game comes out. Just wondering, because I've never gotten a newsletter even though I've signed up several times since the Social Site started, and I find this odd, because I get newsletters and updates from TOR site.

Will this epic item just appear in you inventory at the start of the game or will it have a quest attached?

I assume you'll have to download and install it just like you do with DA:O DLC.

If it's a family heirloom you'll probably have it from the start
