weapon damage by squad mates

Edit: I found a basic damage formula that I will use to post estimates on damage output by the squad with weapons. I will use a 2 to 2.5 second time frame since it seems that is the average that the squad fires for most weapons (exceptions will be noted, like tempest). Number crunchin' time when I get a chance!

The purpose is to find the best squad and weapon mix for hardcore / insanity regardless of bonus powers (I tend to ignore caster powers (I'm terrible with biotic detonation and tend to play soldier).

also, I rely on squad ability to draw fire (grunt, jacob w/ barrier) and whittle enemies down (zaeed, thane, garrus) generally I do not play overly aggressive (and as a matter of taste, I prefer squadmates who seem to have combat armor, not a fan of miranda and jack outside of their loyalty missions), kudos to those who do great videos on youtube.

so, I want to get a base line with weapons damage by the squad and will also factor their class passives.

Lastly, I read that the carnifex, tempest and geth pulse rifle have a 50% damage reduction modifier according to Arthellinus (arthellinus@yahoo.com) could someone confirm if there is a default value either .55 or .5, I'm on 360?

i thought they generally did around 0.55 compared to sheps damage

that makes sense if that is the default value for all weapons.

assuming that the values in the wikia are correct then:

with the widow, legion does 57% damage of what shep can do

grunt does 60% damage with claymore of what shep can do

and with viper, squad does 65% damage

with the rest pf the squad doing 55% of what shep can do

if that's the case it will be much easier to calculate squad damage output with the different weapons when the move in and out of cover!
