If she looked like Imoen (which I liked) then I'd bother. Bethany though isn't appealing much imo. Beth looks rather generic though.

You mean "advertise" as in she appears in screenshots for the part of the game where she is clearly relevant?

Mm. I'm much more worried about this brother of ours then Beth. We know so little about him, so I'm guessing that if we're going to run around avenging anyone, it would be a dead little brother rather then a dead little sister. (Er, he is our little brother, right? Man, that's how little I know about him- i can't even figure out his age.)



I'm sort of thinking Beth might be our Oghren. Not personality-wise, but in purpose of the plot. She's a mandatory companion with an extreme tie to a certain plot-point (the templer-mage) thing and whose a bit hard to get rid of. She isn't of Morrigan/Alistair levels of 'I AM HERE' (as I assume Varric and maybe our lovely dragon-hunting friend may be), but she definitely leaves her marks of things.



Or maybe not. Maybe she;ll be killed off and the brother will live, and Bioware will be snickering at us. Who knows?

I really hope their is a scene where Bethany or Carver say something like that to Hawke, then he gets a reprimand from his mom.

I don't really want a spoiler. I just get so sick of the fact that most games I play I find a family member. Then like 5 minutes later they die. Then the game has the main protagonist scream NNNOOOOO!!!! I mean how am I suppose to build a interest for a character if i hardly ever see them.

All i really want is a game where I can finally have a family member that doesn't die so i won't have to go on another quest for vengeance. I have done that so many freakin times, now it just is old.

Sorry about that rant everybody.

All I want to know is will I have Bethany for more than 5 minutes?

I just have to say, I adore the idea of Hawke having family connections through the game. So many characters get cut off from their family either in the first hour of the game or before the game even begins. It would be an interesting change of pace.
