I had my troubles with him on Nightmare (34 Mage and level 23 Mage), but it turned out to be quite simple if you get your tactics straight (and the tactics settings of the different characters), what took me some time.

I think it is challenging, especially after Awakening which was way too easy of my point of view. My personal opinion is, that this was the best DLC, and I enjoyed it better than Awakening itself.

The awakening abilities really help as a mage, especially the knockback, which makes it quite easy not to be stunned by the skeletons, so you can keep up the healing and damaging. Other awakening abilities didn't really make a difference for me.

Bronto for me turned out to be the best party member in this fight .
